Psalm 73 as you have never heard it before. The Hebraic Christian folk duo Lamb, under Joel Chernoff's leadership, really pushed the boat out with their 1981 album New Mix. To the point that I think regular fans were mystified by the change of style, even disappointed. So this album remains unique, and in my humble opinion stupendously underrated. Put aside Lamb's history, and take this album for what it is, a first class slice of melodic symphonic-funk-pop-rock! With a Christian theme running through of course. I think the significant third party on this album is Derrick Graves, who handles arrangements including sumptuous strings, and plays a funky bass, here fretless. What a great blend of talents, never to be repeated. This rare album has at last come out on CD, from the Lamb website. This is my tribute to Lamb music and Chernoff with his wonderful writing skills and effortless vocal range - and of course to THE LAMB. Lyrics: Whom have I in heaven but you?
