ImagineFashion.com Presents "Story Medium - Frances McDormand" by Spooner & Dugas 1.10 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 840 exibições FOR FULL VIDEO GO TO: www.imaginefashion.com On stage or in front of a camera, in highly stylized or traditional fare, Frances McDormand is adept at creating singular characters in whatever imaginary world she is called upon to inhabit. Last year she incarnated a ratatat military ensign with a filthy mouth in The Wooster Group's loopy experimental theater piece North Atlantic; her current role is Margie, a working-class South Boston woman caught in the crossfire of her own life's choices and lack of choices. And then there are her notable turns on screen in Mississippi Burning, Short Cuts, Laurel Canyon, and North Country. Blood Simple, her second job as an actress, was not only McDormand's film debut, but also her introduction to Joel Coen, her husband of 29 years. A regular repertory player in the Coen brothers' films, she has appeared in Raising Arizona, The Man Who Wasn't There, Burn After Reading and Fargo, for which she won an Academy Award. McDormand currently stars on Broadway in the world premiere of Good People by David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole) presented by the Manhattan Theater Club. Good People runs through April 24, 2011 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater.
