TornadoVideos.net Dominator intercepts violent wedge tornado southwest of Wadena, Minnesota, measuring incredible vertical winds with the radar, and launching parachute probes into the tornado with the cannon. We deployed in the strongest eastern side of the wedge, and the 150+ mph winds ripped off the room anemometer, sand-blasted the paint, and caused us to slide across the road with the hydraulics deployed. Comparison of virgin mobiles 2 smart-phones. discussing battery, camera, audio, ringtones, text clarity, basic customizing, computer connection, lag, wifi, updates..... both the 8530 and the Intercept are decent phones. 8530 is durable, reliable, with heartier hardware and more for a business person and expect it to always work - the extra 10 a month gets you better email integration and more security. INTERCEPT is more for somebody who's got time to tweek and play, likes games, eye candy, wants more options (even if it is at a performance cost) or? may not have or want to pay the extra 10 a month. The battle between Blackberry and Android is another Mac or PC topic LOL. I already included these 2 phones in previous review but felt it was only fare to compare just the 2 with more detailed pros and cons and what one could do that the other couldn't and vise versa. I have the $35 a month Virgin Mobile cell phone plan, with the Samsung Intercept Android phone. The plan was originally $25 a month, and that's what I'm paying, but anyone who subscribes for new service has to pay $35 a month. I get 300 minutes of talk, unlimited text, and unlimited internet use. If I go over 300 minutes, additional minutes are 10 cents each. In the video I compare the Samsung Intercept to the iPhone. The phone came with Android 2.1 installed. The Samsung Intercept phone works OK for phoning and texting, but sometimes the contacts function crashes when I am trying to enter a new number. The screen resolution is lower than other phones, so it is hard to read small print, which makes web browsing somewhat frustrating. Apps take a long time to open. The touch screen sensitivity is pretty bad, and I have trouble getting things done because either I tap the thing I didn't mean to tap, or it doesn't sense the tap. Switching between menus is slow. Virgin has another Android phone available on the $25 monthly plan. I don't know if it is better. After upgrading to Android 2.2 it works a lot better.
