This is my personal homenaje to Cesaria Evora, the great Cape Verdean singer known for her soulful interpretation of morna songs. I listened to her for the first time when I was having dinner in a small restaurant in the southern Italy: that night I asked the waiter whose was the beautiful voice spreading all around, and he told me. I bought Cesaria's double cd "Mornas & Coladeras" for my mother's birthday, and her beautiful voice started accompanying us through the days. I chose this song in particular because I liked it long before I knew the exact meaning of the words, and I definitely fell in love with it when I read the message inside.
