Experimenting with different products trying to manipulate the ink on the National Geographic magazine. There is a product called Citra Solve (the degreaser concentrate) and when applied to the pages of the magazine, you get wonderful abstract results which can later be used as backgrounds for artwork, torn or cut for collage and many other different art related techniques. I am having a difficult time finding the product locally, although, it can be purchased online for an extremely expensive price including shipping. I am trying to find something else that works the same way as Citra Solv for a better price, and so far I've failed at my first few attempts. It is very frustrating when working on a shoe-string budget. I really want to try this interesting technique as the results are simply amazingly beautiful. This Sunday on ABC, I'm going to be talking with George Stephanopoulos right after Jack Lew, who is the President's Chief of Staff and former Office of Management and Budget director. Jack will be laying out what they're going to be proposing in the new Obama budget, which comes out on Monday. As you all know, this coming debt crisis is the most predictable crisis in our country's history. It threatens to crush our prosperity. It threatens our economy today. And it threatens to give our kids and our grandkids a diminished future. The Senate hasn't passed a budget since 2009. They didn't pass one in 2010, 2011, and now they're saying they're not going to do one in 2012. Apparently the White House doesn't have a whole lot to say about that. They don't seem to be concerned that the Senate is abdicating their legal and moral responsibility to budget. The President hasn't put out a plan yet in his presidency to address this most predictable debt crisis. I hope the President offers us real solutions instead of more empty promises.
