A song that tells about Peggy Ann Bradnick's ordeal which she lived out in May 1966 when she was kidnapped by a mountain man and held hostage for eight days in the Tuscarora Mountains of southern Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. This song was written by John Madara, David White, and Jimmy Wisner. I erroneously (but kind of not) referred to the mountain man as "Bicycle Pete" in the video clip. He was really known as "Bicycle Bill," but in the TV movie made about this story in 1991 he was called "Bicycle Pete," so I guess I did it because it was engrained in me. That said, Eric Lamaze and Hickstead have been HUGE for Canadian equestrian and I am really shocked by the news... I was never swept away with the "Lamazing" movement some of my fellow riders were but I always respected Eric and his horse. They were a joy to watch. You could always anticipate a good ride when they entered the Spruce International Ring. I met Eric at Spruce during a competition and can honestly say he's a very nice person and my best wishes go to him and Hickstead's whole team. I've experienced only mild equine hardship in comparison and know how difficult that was for me so my heart really goes out to them. I do not own the music or any of the clips. Sad day for Canada.
