For the 5th Edition of our Classic Album Series, we visited the archives of Decca Records. There we found Kitty Wells' 8th Decca album (LP), "Heartbreak USA." Released in May, 1961, it yielded Kitty a number one single. The LP contains twelve cuts, all of which have "heart" in the title. Many of these songs were big hits charted by other country music artists. Strangely, Kitty's top-20 single, "Touch and Go Heart" (1958), wasn't included on this LP. A pioneering figure in country music, Wells built a ladder of success and the rungs on that ladder yielded some of the best country hits of the 1950s and 1960s. This LIVE presentation looks at the history of UFOs in presidential campaigns, UFOs in elections, how some candidates have stood on the UFO issue, and news on the UFO files being released by government agencies and institutions. Grant Cameron (Canada) became involved in extraterrestrial-related phenomena research in May 1975 with a personal sighting near Carman, Manitoba about 25 miles north of the Canada-US border. Animation based on the design of our WTC Memorial entry for the international competition. The centerpiece of our "Memorial Park" is a pair of two hand-carved, crystal sculptures set within a circular, reflecting pool; a pedestal of water. At sunset, the two sculptures are illuminated from the their bases casting two vertical beacons of light into the sky. The crystal sculptures' carved curvilinear forms refract and reflect sunlight and shimmering water throughout the day and, when illuminated at night, create a dramatic, symphony of light. Carved into the exterior granite wall of the circular reflecting pool are all the names of the fallen. Because this "Ring of Dedication" is located at ground level, the names are intimately accessible. The Memorial is set inbetween the footprints of the towers. The footprints are park-like settings which have wide, garden-like paths that link them to the Memorial. The idea was to imbue the Memorial with an emotional resonance of resurrection, clarity, simplicity and peace. The hope is to feel uplifted in its presence; not despair.
