Think your life is tough? The last rain was months ago. I'm lying in a mixture of mud and excrement. A thousand other hippos are squeezing from all sides. You can tell it's October, the end of the dry season in Katavi, as the vervets are overcoming their fear and drinking the mud-mix right out of our pool. For food, you have to walk miles during the night in search of remaining grasses, but if we all go tonight, the hippos from the adjacent pool will take over our spots, so I must stay behind and guard - no food for me tonight. And the damn yellow-billed oxpeckers are doing their best to open my bloody wounds. I'd roll over to get them off my back, but there's no space because of all the other hippos. My dog Hippo has been on the raw diet for over a year and a half. The results of the diet exceeded my initial expectations, so I've made this video in hope that it will inspire others to try this method of feeding their dog. Hippo was born with severe hip displaysia. the raw diet rolled back the clock on his hips and he acts the same way that he did when he was 4 (and he's 8.5 years old in this video). Hippo is a 110 lb. Akita/Rottweiler mix (aka a Rokita) Raw is also much cheaper than high quality kibble. This mix here cost me around 75 cents per pound to make!. + Informações
