The young man who joined the army did so of his own free will. He was 20 years old and his parents played no part in his decision to serve his country. They are proud to have such a brave son. I am only the best friend (for 34 years) of the mother, Cindy. It is my honor to post this video on YouTube. Since she was small she has always tried to get to the microphone first at church so she could sing. She always loved karaoke and would beg for the mic. When Heather heard the song she started crying and said she just had to sing it for Paige. We met the Bivans family when our son, Paul, started school and quickly became lifelong friends with their son, Scot. Paige's 16 years were lived by her own rules and the way she wanted. A beautiful girl inside and out, she loved wholeheartedly and always stood by her family and friends. She loved bling, zebra prints, and hanging out with friends; she was a dancer, black belt in karate, and enjoyed being part of team sports. She and her older brother were very close. Even though she was 2 years younger, she was always telling Scot how to do things! Paige is terribly missed, but we know she's watching over us from heaven! She decided to dress up as "Elle Woods" from the movie Legally Blonde because Reese Witherspoon is her favorite actress. She's a little older than the last time. Between a couple of dances at her recital in May some of the older girls needed a little extra time to change costumes so they asked Heather to sing. Nobody in the audience expected a big voice in such a small package. You can hear the "Aww" when she comes onto the stage but you can't tell that everyone was standing when she left.
