Monstrosity is a death metal band originating from Fort Lauderdale, Florida during the death metal scene of the late 1980s. Monstrosity was home to a number of session and full-time musicians who later resurfaced in acts like Cynic, Malevolent Creation, Cannibal Corpse, Capharnaum, and Hate Plow. John Rubin played guitar, Mark Van Erp played bass, and Lee Harrison played drums and has remained the constant within the band through the years. They all played in Malevolent Creation in 1989 and decided to form their own band. Lee Harrison formed his own music label, Conquest Music. George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher appeared on the 1992 Imperial Doom and 1996 Millennium albums, before getting the vocal slot in Buffalo's Cannibal Corpse. Jason Avery (Eulogy) took the vocal slot after Fisher's defection to Cannibal Corpse, appearing on the 1999 In Dark Purity, the 2001 anthology/live double CD "Enslaving the Masses" and 2003 Rise to Power albums. Avery was replaced in December, 2005 by Brian Werner (Infernaeon). Werner performed vocal duties on the band's 2006 European tour, and subsequent US shows. In December, 2006 Werner was replaced by Mike Hrubovcak (Divine Rapture, Imperial Crystalline Entombment, Vile). Ok, I was coming home from work after a night shift, and it had been snowing off and on throughout the night. We were right there in the mixing zone where any precipitation to the north of us was snow, and any to the south of us was rain; so it was really going to be hit or miss when it came to whether we got snow, or just plain normal rain. And as you can see, we got snow! The closer I got to home, the worse the snow had been, so my normal 17 minute drive took about 30 minutes. The main highway near where I worked had been plowed and sanded all night, but the same highway just a few miles to the south, appeared to have once again been completely neglected by the road crews. That's probably because the State crews maintained the Highway near where I work, and just up the road from there, each individual city or town was responsible for snow clearing. And it appeared that the cities were either caught off guard by the snow, or decided to just plain neglect it. Around here, the snow usually melts in one or two days, so local cities don't like to waste the manpower and money to plow the roads when they hope it will quickly melt on its own. With that said, they usually at least plow the major highway that runs through town; but this time they didn't even do that. The highway is heavily traveled, so even though it was not plowed, the snow was both packed down and melted by the traffic, but as I turned off the highway onto less travelled surface streets, the snow was .... + Informações
