The Dog Catchers take the stage @ Maple Tree Place in Williston,VT on 8/11/11, performing a rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Cause We've Ended As Lovers" for an enthusiastic crowd. This version was inspired by the arrangement found on Jeff Beck's groundbreaking BLOW BY BLOW lp from 1975. Bob Weisburgh is playing his 2009 Fender Stratocaster nicknamed "Hank" (named after Hank B. Marvin of The Shadows fame,the very first British Electric Guitar hero), a Fiesta Red (aka "Flamingo PinK") 50's Classic Fender Stratocaster MIM: the stock pickups were shelved in favor of Fender Custom Shop'54 pickups, and the monster cable runs through a Line 6 delay, Dunlop "Mr. Crybaby" Volume/Wah,amplified by a Laney VC-115 utilizing the "clean" channel cranked up near full. Phil Peery is playing a 1960's vintage Epiphone Casino that once belonged to the famous guitarist Paul Asbell (Appears on the historic "Fathers & Sons" LP and numerourous other sessions). Paul Asbell had replaced the stock Epiphone pickups with a set of Bartolini humbuckers before Peery acquired the instrument, and Phill is running straight through a Fender Super Reverb amplifier. Steve Peery's careworn Fender Precision Bass is another vintage example, this one from the 1970's, and has been his trusted instrument of choice for 3 1/2 decades. Steve currently runs direct into a Roland Cube amp. Gene Bouffard uses Evans drums (in maple finish), and this is a relatively new kit, however it is outfitted by 1970's vintage Zildjian .... + Informações

This early version features Jet Harris on Bass in 1962 just before leaving The Shadows. This makes a rare recording as the single version had Brian 'Licorice' Locking on Bass and also befor 'strings' were added. When ''Guitar Tango' was released in 1962, The shadows was critasised,, When they switched to acoustic guitars but it showed The Shadows as being adverse and Guitar Tango has become a favourite amongst their huge back catalogue!
