Dr. Aaron G. Hager, Associate Professor of Weed Science in the Department of Crop Sciences at University of Illinois, expands on his presentation about weed management issues. Aaron G. Hager was raised in a rural community in west-central Illinois. He attended Southern Illinois University, completing his Bachelor of Science at SIUC in 1991. He then went to Michigan State University where he received a Master of Science in weed science in 1993. Near the completion of his MS, Hager successfully interviewed for a weed science extension specialist position in the Department of Agronomy at the University of Illinois where he continued his graduate work while serving as a full-time extension specialist, ultimately completing his Ph.D. in 2001. Hager began his tenure as a faculty extension weed scientist in 2002. Currently, he holds a 70/30 extension/research appointment in the Department of Crop Sciences where he serves as a state faculty specialist in weed biology and management. Hager's principal objective is to develop and deliver effective, high-impact applied weed science research and extension programs.. + Informações

Destiny Hager could be delightfully charming and frightfully aggressive. In her darkest moments, the 3-year-old smashed her head against walls, lashed out at family members and bit herself. She battled insomnia. Her mood swings were sharp. She tried to suffocate a dog. Her condition demanded intervention. Counselors directed Destiny and her parents, Angela and Greg Hager, to Prairie View hospital in Newton. Vernon Kliewer, a child psychiatrist in whom the Hagers placed trust but now condemn, prescribed two powerful drugs to control Destiny. The tiny girl with shoulder-length brown hair was tranquilized by the medical regimen. But the Hagers were uncomfortable with dosages obliterating Destinys personality. They scheduled a doctors visit to wean her from medication. Destiny began complaining of a stomachache three days before the appointment. Her pain appeared to ease, but it later mushroomed. She was raced to a hospital. Her anguished cries echo in Angelas memory. The sound of it stays with me every day, she said. If you can picture a wounded animal in a trap trying to free itself, thats what she sounded like. Destiny died within hours. After three years of searching, and with their daughters burial finally only days away, both parents have lingering questions about Destinys death. They dont feel all physicians who treated Destiny have been forthcoming. This past season at Whitney Young- Chicago's premier prep basketball program- Hager suited up alongside 6'9" Thomas Hamilton Jr (top 5 in the nation), Anthony Johnson (Purdue), Ahmad Starks (Oregon State), JR Reynolds (Rice), Sam Thompson (top 25 in the nation), 6'8" Jermaine Morgan and a number of other elite prospects. Through it all, Luke was the team's glue guy- someone who was happy to sacrifice shot attempts in favor of crashing the boards, going all out on D, and making the right pass to set up one of his talented teammates. Last season Young lost in the state championship game; under the leadership of Hager, Thompson, and Kwai Pearson- the Dolphins are looking to avenge that loss by winning it all this season. A 6'7" small forward, Hager is an incredibly versatile player. He can guard almost any position on the floor on the defensive end, and on offense he can do it all; shoot the three ball, drop dimes, handle the rock, catch oops, and even post up a smaller wing. Though he was never labeled a superstar during his career like much of his contemporaries were, Luke might just prove this year that he is in fact one of the elite players in the state. I recently purchased Peter Hager's Airbus A380 collection for my X-Plane hangar. It is a fantastic aircraft however, it has been taking me a while to study the aircraft which I guess isn't bad. In beginning of this video you will see a Jet Blue Airbus A320 taxiing near 22R/04R and, an American Airlines Boeing 737 climbing after departure from 31R. Then, the beautiful Lufthansa Airbus A380 landing on runway 31R. The Lufthansa A380 flies to JFK daily (Lufthansa 401). This is a short video with me commentating about Peter Hager's Airbus A340-500. Pretty decent aircraft. Has it's ups and downs as most aircraft have. The Singapore Airlines A340-500 is the same plane that flys Newark Liberty International Airport to Singapore Changi International Airport (EWR-SIN). EWR-SIN is also the longest commercial flight in the world. However, for this video I just departed from LAX with enough fuel to flying to Singapore.
