New project entitled Oppressive Force unleashing a song called "World of Suicide," featuring former Grotesque Formation string master Chris Lopez, as well as the three members of Vaginal Bear Trap! Chris Lopez (ex-Grotesque Formation) - Guitar Shane Elwell (VBT, Grieved) - Vocals Walter Howard (VBT, Grieved) - Bass Shawn Harrison (VBT) - Drums This is a rough take of us practicing in our storage unit as we prepare to enter the studio later this spring and record our debut ep. I (Shawn) mess up at 2:34 and come in prematurely with the blasting, a slight error on my part. As well, the breakdown contains quite a bit of improvisational playing as I solidify ideas for that part and is, like everything else, a work in progress. Chris Lopez (ex-Grotesque Formation) - Guitar Shane Elwell (VBT, Grieved) - Vocals Walter Howard (VBT, Grieved) - Bass Shawn Harrison (VBT) - Drums This is the second song we wrote, tentatively entitled "Extreme Crisis," also affectionately referred to by the illustrious "Song Two," but who really knows at this point. This video was recorded at the end of a tiring practice, preceded by a ten week period during which Oppressive Force was unable to meet due to various scheduling conflicts. Pardon the errors, especially on my part (drums), I am extremely aware of them. However, I still feel this song came out well enough to share, serving as a snapshot of the refining process.
