It was during the late 90's when pop culture dominated the social environment. From fashion to slander, food to music, it was all mainstreamed as influenced by foreign trends. For the music scene, most bands played Top 40 hits and "similar-sounding" originals. It was simply stereotypical. As the decade came to an end, the whole Philippine music scene was blown away with one demo recording catching airplay in a radio station ? it was NU107's In The Raw program where they feature new and unsigned bands. "PIGFACE" was the title of the single and "GREYHOUNDZ" was the name of the artist. Brave, bold and aggressive, is the best way to describe both the song and artist. Everyone who had taste was shocked and amazed on how to define what they had just heard. It was the first time in Philippine airwaves that this "type" of music was played. my interpretation of this video - klown mmf tingnan nyong mabuti and video....it talks about mental slavery,colonialism,and manipulation of a person or in general.and of course the video is implying the current state of the Philippine government is corrupt it also shows the colonial mentality that filipinos around the world has,mental slavery(self degradation) and the control of the ''western powers''. how it affects us,who we are today and what we do to ourselves in the present era...it is so vivid in the video that it talks about colonialism since it shows bits and pieces of information and hints like the philippine flag,spanish/american clothings etc.....i think the whore is philippines since it embraces the western culture with open arms and almost substituting her own identity and culture to the ''mga dayuhan'' - foreigners,and that makes us so unique from other south east asian countries or in the malay archipelago.but i don't hate the idea that we are unique,it's just that we are becoming like a puppet and clown for the western countries and i don't think it could do any better for our own identity and freedom as filipinos...the kid as depicted in the video is the people living in the philippines captive by western ideology....that is why they want us to become just their puppet and clown both individually or generally .about nino avenido's apparel it suggest a spanish conqueror that conquered the Philippines,im not quiet sure about maestro allen cudal's character .... + Informações

from their latest album "Execution Style" Greyhoundz is a Filipino Nu-metal/rap-metal band formed in the late 90's who gained international recognition and is currently based in Manila, Philippines. Greyoundz was formed in 1997 by cousins Niño and Audie Avenido who at first just wanting to join a local battle of the bands contest together with other bandmates that includes Allen Cudal. The contest was canceled so they opted to audition at the now defunct Club DREDD that was based in Manila. They later recruited Reg Rubio, who was from another band that also played at Club Dredd. They soon recruited TJ Brillantes. Unfortunately on the 6th of May 2004, a tragic event happened when original member, Allen Cudal (also one of their guitarists) died from a car accident. Many followers of the band were shocked during the sudden passing of the band member. 2004 Pulp SummerSlam, was the last time that fans were able to watch the band in their complete line up. But despite the tragic event, as a sign of respect for their late band mate, the group now performs as a 4 piece band rather than hiring a new member. if you really enjoy the OPM music, please support the Filipino/Filipina artists.
