This was the last show of Tiswas and Den Hegarty had been to America to Tippi Hedrens ranch to play with the lions and tigers. As you see in the video, Den had a hard time and got knocked about a bit and the Tiswas Producers Dave McKellar and Glyn Edwards decided that the Phanton Flan Flinger and his wife Flanderella and the son would wreak revenge on the Hedren Family. This was the last ever Tiswas show . Margaret Farwell was Flanderella on this show as the usual Flanderella was unavailable. It was fantastic being there. At the time, this was to be Sally James' last ever Tiswas, with the prospect of a ninth series later in 1982 hanging in the balace. But after being approached by Tiswas producer Glyn Edwards to make a live Wednesday afternoon show featuring Big Daddy, Central TV management said "Great! That'll be what replaces Tiswas!". So this is the last ever Tiswas. Until the reunion on ITV Telethon 1988 in the LWT studios. And, um, the recent reunion for Tiswas, on Tiswas Reunited (broadcast on ITV1, available on DVD now). I worked on Tiswas for some 4 years supplying costumes I suggested the idea that I should make a small keeper and a large parrot - It was used in a number of skits, It was - MAD - but Great Fun. I was on the Credits as special animal costumes by The Wizard Merlyn.. + Informações

Sid the parrot this is your life- Den Hegarty doing a skit on Sid and keeper Trevor James. My 4 year involvement with the program mainly supplying costumes and Wizard Merlyn Costume Hire did get a credit on the closing titles. I ended up suggesting a number of ideas and skits that ended up at around 40 minutes of airtime. I had suggested and was commissioned to make a Large parrot with a small keeper that was used a number of times. All the costumes in this skit were mine including the snake (Rattling Reita) used by Julian Pettifer.. + Informações
