"In the Mood" is a song popularized by the American bandleader Glenn Miller in 1939, and one of the best-known arrangements of the big band era. It was composed by Joe Garland and Andy Razaf and arranged by Miller, although the main theme had been previously heard. That was a big hit song made by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren in 1941 and performed by the Glenn Miller Band. Carmen and her band were short of Brazilian songs in Hollywood. Then her band leader Aloysio Oliveira from the Bando da Lua made an in-Portuguese version of the song and Mack Gordon only approved the inclusion of it in the movie because it would remind everyone of his original song due to its title & rhythm within that were kept.. + Informações

Inaugural pre-season spring baseball tournament in the English City of Leicester run over three weeks commencing on March 25 through to April 8 2012. group A featuring Leicester Blue Sox, Newton Aycliffe Spartans and Hull Scorpions. Leicester finishing top of the group with 2 wins to Hull's 1 and Spartans 0 music by the Andrews Sisters and Glen Miller. The music seems to have shifted during processing. Rockford Illinois hosts every year in September a tribute to the Veterans who fought in World War 2. Over 800 to 900 Re-inactors come from all over the world to take part in this event. This is the largest Re-inactment in the country. It is a 2 day event. Battles going on every 30 min in town or in the woods, and 2 large 30 min battles going on in the big fields. Planes fly over head from back in the day do a simulation of dropping bombs, Tanks are used and battles going on with them and German Tanks. Food court area, you can buy outfits, gear, bombs, gernades, bullets and more ( of course they are all defused.) They actually have it where they auction and or sell some of the old vehicles back in the day. You can talk to the re-inactment soldiers and they know their history. Even the people who play Germans are actual Germans who speak German! Later in the evening they have a dance for the public where you can dress up in the era which they encourage you to do so, but is not a requirement. You dance to the 1940's music and can dance with the re-inactor dancers or soldiers. It is a wonderful event for all the family to see. This is I believe the 15th annual event of the WW2 Days. If interested in seeing this drop me a line or you can go search for midway village in Rockford Illinois to order tickets. The price is VERY resonable too. $8 for adults and $4 for kids 18 and under.
