Lipstick Promises by George Ducas 4.22 min. | 4.9481483 avaliação | 73556 exibições "Lipstick Promises" was a fun video to shoot because -- well - hey, I got to drive a really cool old Corvette, which was a lot cooler than my really old Ford truck...! I shot it just weeks after I shot my first video, "Teardrops", and both were shot in beautiful Los Angeles summer sun (and smog), before I had even hit the road yet to begin touring. Of course, "Lipstick" wound up being the big hit of my first CD, it went to #5 on the charts, and the video actually went #1 on CMT! In retrospect under those circumstances, I should have been smiling a lot more in this video...Just wish I coulda' kept that car -- dang it!. + Informações |

Every Time She Passes By - George Ducas 3.65 min. | 4.95 avaliação | 29968 exibições Everytime She Passes By: Okay, I'm goin' a little out of order here - due to overwhelming requests (LOL, that's a joke, but a couple freinds wanted to hear/see this one), I'm actually going to go out of "chronological" order here, skipping over the fourth video ("Kisses Don't Lie) from my debut CD and going straight to the first single from "Whre I Stand", my second CD on Capitol...After comin' off my year and a half road trip from touring the debut CD, I jumped into the process of writing and recording the second CD, and "Everytime She Passes By" was one of the tunes I wrote in that pressure-packed time period...It's got a modern-day Buddy Holly groove to it...And I wrote it with an old friend Micheal Heeney, who I hooked up with to write "Kisses Don't Lie" from the first CD. We also write one of my favorite tunes on the second CD, called "The Invisible Man"; that one might be the song I'm most proud of writing to this day. Anyway, I digress... It was the summer of '98 when I flew out to somewhere in Suburbia Los Angeles to shoot "Everytime She Passes By"...It was a blast because, finally, I had finished the writing and recording process and couldn't wait to get back out and play the new music for everyone - and the video shoot was and is always the first sign that everything is rollin' in that direction again! The song is a big summertime tune, and I wanted to reflect that mood in the video...We did so by shooting it outdoors, in a cool little "Edward Scissorshand" kind .... + Informações |

Hello Cruel World by George Ducas 3.60 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 16291 exibições When I sat down to write "Hello Cruel World", it was my true ode to one of my musical heroes, Buck Owens. He always had such an awesome sense of humor in his songwriting. I followed his lead that day, and wrote this real tongue-in-cheek honky tonker that has always been a blast to play live, and it's always a crowd "fave", probably because the band and I always have so much fun performing it. The video was just as much fun the day we shot it...It was my first video that wasn't shot on LA; actually we shot it just outside of Nashville, at a little field and farm house about thirty minutes out of town...One of the really cool things about the video is that I actually went to school with the actress in the video, Deena Dill...She's since gone on to lots of other roles, including several shows on television the past couple of years. I enjoyed the shoot because I actually did a little bit more than just play and sing, and I really dig the effects and treatments we used, which included running the film backwards during some of the segments (that's why some of it looks so interestingly "odd")! Anyway, I hope you like it; check it out!. + Informações |

Teardrops by George Ducas 3.05 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 22857 exibições Y'all check this video out - "Teardrops" was a song I wrote for my first CD, and was the first time I heard one of my songs on the radio! I shot the video in Los Angeles, and it was really an awesome experience, because we shot it mostly in this old deserted storage facility, and it kind of resembled the bar in Nashville where I was playing for a couple years before things took off for me. The bar, then called "Amie's" here in Nashville, was a pool hall honky tonk dive, and I loved every minute of it. They didn't pay me anything, but they would charge folks a dollar at the door, and they would give me a big stack of $1 bills at the end of the night! I played all my newly written songs there, including "Teardrops", and I could tell by the audience reaction whether they were good or not...They also served beer by the quart - now you can't get better than that, right? I made lots of friends playing music down there - I'm glad to call you my friend, too - and I hope to see you back out on the road soon! -George. + Informações |

Kisses Don't Lie by George Ducas 3.97 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 21188 exibições "Kisses Don't Lie" was a song I was really proud of, even though it only barely "eeked" into the Top 40 at country radio...! The video was shot in White Sands, New Mexico -- a vast desert area that used to be used for military testing...It was surreal, the shoot was beautiful in spite of the heat of the desert -- there was nothing but desert sand for as far as the eye could see! My favorite part of the video is the "stage" scene that was set up, in the middle of this nowhere land, where I sang the song to a party of one (the actress in the video)... I like the video particularly because it was so different from any of the others I had shot to that point, and I think (hope!) it reflected some growth in my music and image to that point in time...Hope ya' like it!!! George Ducas - Blue Eyes Crying (In The Rain) - KCTI AM 1450 Audio Only 6.25 min. | 0 avaliação | 75 exibições He has enjoyed success as an artist with two albums on Capitol Records and a string of hits like his Top 10 single "Lipstick Promises." Ducas preceded his recording career by penning Radney Foster's solo career launching Top 10 hit "Call Me Lonesome," and has continued to score as a writer of hits for Sara Evans (her multi-week #1 song "A Real Fine Place To Start"), George Jones and Garth Brooks (the Top 20 duet "Beer Run") and the Eli Young Band ("Always The Love Songs," which hit the Top 10). After taking a hiatus to devote himself to raising his daughter and son in their early years, Ducas returns to performing shows across his home state with his Texas-based band. He follows the trail blazed by his early prime inspiration, Willie Nelson. "We've seen it done before by Texans in the past," he notes of Nelson's return to Texas some four decades ago. "It worked really well and was the right thing to do musically and spiritually, and it feels that way to me too." And the energy and creativity of today's Lone Star music scene was already beckoning Ducas as such leading lights as Kevin Fowler and the Young and Rogers Bands sought him out as a song source and writing partner. The results include his Top 40 song for Rogers, "Kiss Me In The Dark," the band's biggest national hit to date, and the Top 10 Eli Young Band country chart single that was also the #1 Texas music song for 2009.. + Informações |
