PREVIOUSLY: Through the use of the three sacred souls - Flame Demon, Giant Bat, and Succubus - Soma was able to defeat Graham properly, absorbing the power of Dracula upon his demise, in order to become the new Lord of Darkness. Dracula's grasp over Soma's consciousness was still weak, though, and Arikado urged Soma to use what little time he had left to search for the source of Dracula's rebirth and corruption. Julius stood in Soma's way of redemption, and after an epic fight, the two opponents agreed to a truce to see if Soma could fulfill his promise to Arikado. SYNOPSIS: With Julius out of his way, Soma was free to explore the twisted realm within the Inner Sanctum. This world was known as the Chaotic Realm, a land built from Soma's memories of the castle and its denizens. Shaped like a giant spiral, the Chaotic Realm began to work its way inward, leading Soma toward his final goal of salvation from the clutches of Dracula's Curse. PREVIOUSLY: Soma discovered two clever solutions to the sliding-tile puzzle that allowed him to reach all of the secret items in one run and then to connect all of the rooms to allow passage to the four corners of the puzzle at the same time as well. The lower-left corner led back to the Lost Village where he tracked down the elusive Yeti with a plate of steaming curry. Retracing his steps to the drawbridge, Soma followed in Julius' footsteps and leapt over the bridge and returned to the Demon Guest House. SYNOPSIS: After collecting the secret item, Crown, Soma returned to the tile puzzle and headed to the upper floors this time by going to the upper-left corner. All of the monsters here were familiar except the rolling ring of fire known as Buer. But its soul fell under Soma's dominance in short order, and he continued his climb unabated. Within the nursery was Magic Seal 3, which would allow Soma to reach new areas, but there was a malevolent demon waiting behind the boss gate at the top of the children's wing. PREVIOUSLY: Discovering the source of Dracula's dark powers within a realm created from the memories of all descendants of darkness known as the Chaotic Realm, Soma went in search of redemption before the power of dominance overpowered even his own soul. After collecting the hidden Chaos Ring once the castle came under his control, Soma stopped just outside the innermost chamber of this twisted realm. The final battle would begin soon. PREVIOUSLY: At the apex of the Condemned Tower, Soma encountered the gruesome and depressing monster known as Gergoth. After putting it out of its misery quickly with a clever combination of unlikely souls, Soma climbed back up the ruins of the Condemned Tower again and claimed the Tower Key beyond the chamber where Gergoth waited. Using the Tower Key on the mechanical lock below, Soma spanned the gap between the Condemned Tower and the Cursed Clock Tower. However, he was confronted by Celia, Arikado, and Julius yet again. His allies were too distracted by a spiritual flux at the riverbank to stay long, and Celia urged Soma to keep climbing. Although admonished not to do any more exploring by Arikado and Julius, Soma took matters into his own hands and began to explore the Cursed Clock Tower. SYNOPSIS: Faced with the choice of whether to climb up to the top of the clock tower or whether to follow the passageways down to the base of its foundation, Soma chose to head down, counterintuitive as that might be. Along the way, he claimed several more souls and discovered a few more items such as the flashy but trashy handgun and the army jacket. With his exploration of the clock tower's base done in short order, Soma was ready to climb toward the top of the tower and see what Celia might have planned for him there. PREVIOUSLY: Within the Cursed Clock Tower, Soma was faced with the choice of whether to climb up to the top of the clock tower or whether to follow the passageways down to the base of its foundation. He chose to explore the depths of the tower first, as usual. Along the way, Soma discovered several new demons, absorbing their spirits and gaining mastery over their dark souls. The clock tower led back to the Gardens of Madness where he was able to reach a remote veranda which held the handgun, a stylish but useless ranged weapon. Back in the Cursed Clock Tower, he discovered an army jacket of moderate worth before making camp to prepare for the climb ahead. SYNOPSIS: Soma's only choice now was to climb up the Cursed Clock Tower and find out what awaited him at the very top. However, the halls of the clock tower were perilous - the floors often lined with spikes, dozens of revolving traps, and an unlimited stream of Medusa Heads - and climbing to the top proved to be more of a chore than it would have seemed at first. However, Soma was well-versed in the dangers of the manor by this point, and he was able to discover the way up. At the top, the mythical Flying Humanoid was spotted against the moonlight, and Soma used the Mandragora soul to destroy it from a distance. Rather than facing the boss on an empty stomach, though, Soma made camp again outside the boss gate. SOULS COLLECTED: * Bugbear * Flying Humanoid NEXT TIME: It's a boss extravaganza! PREVIOUSLY: Soma, having recovered from his fight with Rahab the giant zombie fish, set out to discover a way to fly in order to reach Celia's whereabouts. Subterranean Hell appeared to be an underground river system filled with a variety of sea life and aquatic monsters. Recalling his chat with Julius and Arikado back in the Cursed Clock Tower, Soma remembered a mention of Dario's power coming from a river nearby. Could this be the river that they were speaking of? SYNOPSIS: Although he attempted to reach the depths of the water-filled caverns, the way deeper was barred by a spiral gate that could only be opened from the other side, forcing Soma to turn around and search for another way deeper into the cave system. His exploration proved to be useful, however. After discovering a curious teeter-totter that rewarded him for hitting a boulder as high as possible, Soma continued on to discover that the caves connected to the Gardens of Madness far above. The water that kept those gardens fresh poured down into the caverns, creating this river. And at the bottom of the cavern was a vast waterfall. Behind the shimmering veil of mist was a hidden passageway holding the peerless Eversing Armor. Although there appeared to be a secret passage behind the waterfall, Soma had a task to accomplish and would visit that area later. Instead, he headed east in search of answers. PREVIOUSLY: After being stymied by a gateway halfway through the water-filled caverns of the Subterannean Hell, Soma continued his exploration deeper into the foundations of the manor. After discovering a teeter-totter that rewarded him for hitting a boulder high enough with heavy weapons, Soma discovered a secret passage back to the Gardens of Madness and another leading to a towering waterfall that was eerily familiar of the one found back in Dracula's Eclipse Castle a year ago. Although there appeared to be a secret passage behind the waterfall, Soma decided to follow the river deeper into the caverns in the hope of finding either Dario or perhaps a way of regaining the ability of flight. SYNOPSIS: Leaving behind the damp labyrinth of Subterannean Hell, Soma stepped into the timeless halls of the Silent Ruins. Immediately, a pillar enchanted with the soul of the Chronomage stopped a canonball just shy of shattering the column. Thankfully, Soma countered the time stop with a soul of his own: Zephyr. After the canonball opened the way forward, Soma discovered that the true foundation of the house of Within Light appeared to be, in some way, a recreation of Dracula's original castle. Much of the terrain was very similar, and the monsters, for the most part, were almost identical to those of Simon Belmont's time. What heresy is at work in these ageless corridors? Working his way through the ruins, Soma discovered the valuable Rare Ring after solving an ice block puzzle .... + Informações
