Full Tilt Boogie Band was a rock band originally headed by guitarist John Till, and then by Janis Joplin until her death in 1970. The band was composed of Till, pianist Richard Bell, bassist Brad Campbell, drummer Clark Pierson, and organist Ken Pearson.[1] In its original late 1960s incarnation, the Full Tillt Boogie Band (the two Ls being a play on the spelling of Tills last name), Till fronted the group as a side project from his usual gigs as a New York City studio musician. To the best mother in law anyone can ask for! Happy 60th Birthday Nancy! I hope it's the best Birthday ever and sorry we can't be there to celebrate it with you in person, but we're very excited to have you and Rick coming out to visit for Lars's Birthday on Monday. This will probably be the last time we see each other before your move to Arizona from Ohio, so I look forward to spending the weekend with you guys as well as the kids. :) It's sorta a drastic change from us living right next door to each other while living in Ohio, and I still laugh to this day about how funny of a coincidence it was that two homes happened to be for sale at the same time right next door to each other when we moved from Los Angeles to Ohio. Sadly, we felt it was time to move on from that area after 6 years and it's been different because since I've first met you guys almost 15 years ago, you never seemed to be too far away so I've missed our visits and chats we used to have on a regualr basis. :( Anyhow, I wanted to make this video for you as Happy Birthday from me to you in my own way that I could, and I know you love Janice. :) Obviously she's amazing and very difficult to do a vocals cover on, so hopefully I didn't butcher the song too much hahaha, but hopefully you can overlook that and maybe get a small dose of nostalgia from your youth when you had the opportunity to see her perform live a long time ago.
