Franz Liszt (Doborján, Reino da Hungria, 22 de outubro de 1811 ? Bayreuth, 31 de julho de 1886) foi um compositor e pianista teuto-húngaro do Romantismo. Liszt foi famoso pela genialidade de sua obra, pelas suas revoluções ao estilo musical da época e por ter elevado o virtuosismo pianístico a níveis nunca antes imaginados. Ainda hoje é considerado um dos maiores pianistas de todos os tempos, em especial pela contribuição que deu ao desenvolvimento da técnica do instrumento. Liszt cresceu em Raiding, parte de Burgenland. A língua tradicional daquela região era alemão, e apenas uma minoria sabia falar húngaro. Oficialmente, latim era utilizado. Seu pai, Adam Liszt, tivera aulas em húngaro no ginásio de Pozsony (agora Bratislava, capital da Eslováquia), mas ele não aprendeu quase nada nelas e sempre tinha notas terríveis. Apenas a partir de 1835 as crianças de Raiding passaram a ter aulas de húngaro na escola. O próprio Liszt era fluente em alemão, italiano e francês; também tinha um pequeno domínio de inglês, mas seu húngaro era muito precário. Nos anos 1870, quando todos os habitantes da Hungria foram forçados a aprender húngaro, Liszt tentou aprendê-lo, mas desistiu depois de algumas aulas. A nacionalidade de Liszt foi causa de muita intriga e discussão. De acordo com pesquisas, seu bisavô, Sebastian List (o pai de Liszt acrescentou a letra "z" ao sobrenome da família, e esta versão foi adotada pelo avô de Liszt), era um alemão que resolveu morar na Hungria no Séc.XVIII .... + Informações

The Fantasie in C major, Op. 15 (D. 760), popularly known as the Wanderer Fantasy, is a four-movement fantasy for solo piano composed by Franz Schubert in November 1822. It is considered Schubert's most technically demanding composition for the piano. Schubert himself said "the devil may play it", in reference to his own inability to do so properly.
