Una nena mata els monstres dels armaris amb una escombra sense tenir por a la foscor. Dues dones conversen sobre un ésser estimat i no es posen d'acord davant els diferents records que en tenen. Un viatge de tornada a casa, per cercar un llum per encendre i resguardar-se de les pors. Un accident de cotxe per un excés de llum desemboca en una mirada enrere per veure què hagués pogut ser de la vida en cas de fer unes altres coses.
