The Heroic Lich King encounter is truly the greatest challenge that we as a guild have ever faced. This fight demands nothing less than perfection from all 25 raid members, a single mistake and a wipe is almost guaranteed - whether it be poorly placed defiles, missed infest cooldowns or even bad Val'kyr pickups. While the encounter mechanics are quite challenging, nothing compares to the true challenge of Heroic Lich King - getting the perfect raid comp online! From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone (even you recruits!) who stuck around and put in the time to make this kill possible! We've spent 5 months in Icecrown Citadel and during that time we've had quite a few interesting things happen...from new guild masters getting ninja promoted while AFK, members with authenticators getting "hacked", the Heroes of Newerth Beta, the Starcraft 2 Beta, teaching 11 tanks Heroic Lich King, geared main tanks quitting for Six Flags, PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED, goldfishes catching fire, backseat raid leaders arguing with real raid leaders, holy paladins going on vacation during progression, failing 56k modems, resto druids who don't have to raid for 3 months, air jordan offtanks, recruits getting heroic T10 tokens over members, e-thugs getting sent to bed by their mothers, recruits quitting due to unexpected drama, frequent dinner with parents, warlocks quitting for the 9th time, guild masters who forget to do their homework before raid, new main .... + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy Presents...Mimiron Hard Mode 10.95 min. | 4.8461537 avaliação | 11185 exibições M'uru 2.0. That's all I can say really, Mimiron's Hard Mode is without a doubt the hardest encounter in Ulduar (aside from 0 Watcher Yogg-Saron). It took a few weeks but we finally got our perfect attempt. We could have easilly gotten a kill last week, but we had to replace a few casuals. After pressing the big red button to enable hard mode, Mimiron's room will begin to explode and spawn doomfire all around the room. I use the term doomfire because it's very similar to the fire from the Archimonde encounter back in Hyjal Summit. In addition to this, Mimiron gains 30% extra damage and health. Throughout the fight Mimiron will try to put out the fires, in each phase he will use a different method to do so. In Phase 1 he will perform Flame Suppressant, which wipes out all the fires in the room. In Phase 2 he will drop Frost Bombs, which will put out all fires in a certain radius, but also deal 50000 frost damage to players. In Phase 3, he will spawn Emergency Fire Bots which patrol around the room and put out fires, but also have a 15 yard silencing aura. Finally, in Phase 4, any Emergency Fire Bots that are still up will continue to put out fires, he will also continue using Frost Bombs. Overall, an extremely challenging encounter that requires an extreme level of coordination and skill. I could not be more proud of our guild for getting this achievement! All that's left for us is Yogg-Saron Hard Mode and Algalon The Observer!. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy Presents...Professor Putricide (25 Heroic) 8.97 min. | 4.9411764 avaliação | 16013 exibições Please watch in HD! The heroic version of Professor Putricide has quite a few changes that make the fight a lot more interesting. First off, Putricide will no longers stun the whole raid during transition phases, instead he will spawn a Gas Cloud AND a Volatile Ooze. Every member of the raid will recieve one of two debuffs - Ooze Variable and Gas Variable. Raid members with the Ooze Variable may only attack the Volatile Ooze, those with the Gas Variable may only attack Gas Clouds. A new ability called Unbound Plague will also go out on the raid during all 3 phases (but not during transition phases). Unbound Plague deals damage based on how long it remains on its target, it must be passed on by moving within 3 yards of another player. Once Unbound Plague has been passed to a new host, the previous host gains a debuff called Plague Sickness, which increases the damage taken by Unbound Plague. The approach to Phase 3 is also somewhat different, instead of spreading Mutated Plague among 3 tanks, you'll want to use at least 4 to gain the additional DPS time needed. We opted to use a DPS feral druid to tank for 2 stacks with damage reduction cooldowns.. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy and Phoenix vs Halfus Wyrmbreaker - Cata Beta Action 6.88 min. | 4.6 avaliação | 77798 exibições Blood DK POV Halfus Wyrmbreaker is the first encounter of the Bastion of Twilight raid instance. It is a fairly simple encounter espeically considering its during this first testing phase. You start the fight out by picking up the drake and killing it to gain a dmg amp on the boss. After the drake is killed, you then move to the whelp cage. Upon killing the whelps you gain a second buff stacking for amplified dmg on Halfus. At this point it just becomes a race against the clock to defeat him before the hard enrage. Other things to note: -The whelps and Scion drake also apply debuffs to the main boss and his dragon as well. -The Scion hits for around 100k+ on a fully geared/gemmed/ench premade tank. -I am sure it will undergo some changes and buffs/nerfs. Forlorn Legacy vs Theralion/Valiona - Cata Beta Action 7.37 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 10743 exibições Blood DK POV The Theralion/Valiona encounter is the next boss after you clear pass Halfus in the Bastion of Twilight raid instance. It is a bit more complex and dynamic than the previous encounter, but nothing too over the top. The feeling most of us had after leaving was that - it is nicely tuned for a first teir raid boss, especially for a normal mode. You start the fight out by picking up the dragon to the right as you walk into the room. Once you engage her, the other dragon takes flight. Once the pull has taken place, your raid has to battle with mechanics such as quickly stacking, quickly spreading out, and quickly shifting out of the conal AE the dragon emits on an area of the raid and several other variables. Without going too in depth, thats pretty much the cliff notes of p1. P2 starts when the dragons switch roles and the one flying lands and the one on the ground takes off. At this point your raid again battles to quickly stack, move as a unit, and push through some decent raid dmg. During this phase the dragon currently in the air strafes the raid with shadow breaths (ie Felmyst). As you can see in the vid, its just repetition of the above mentioned mechanics from start to finish. Nothing TOO complex, but like I stated earlier, definitely fun and refreshing for a normal mode first teir raid boss. Other things to note: -The tank dmg is very low and not really a factor. Hopefully this is ramped up slightly and provides a bit more of a challenge for tank healing .... + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy Presents...General Vezax Hard Mode 9.55 min. | 4.8846154 avaliação | 15996 exibições The hard mode for General Vezax requires you to not kill the Saronite Vapors that spawn during the fight, which means casters will recieve no additional mana. Blizzard was pretty smart with this fight, they pretty much eliminated all forms of mana regeneration, trinkets, mana potions, talents, etc. Pretty much nothing works, with the exception of Judgements of the Wise, Shamanistic Rage, Spiritual Attunement and Aspect of the Viper. Once 8 Saronite Vapors spawn they will combine and form a large elemental called a "Saronite Animus" which has 12 million HP and casts Profound Darkness on the whole raid every 2 seconds. The ticks start off at 750 shadow damage, increasing by 10% for each tick (750, 825, 900, 975, etc). Once the Animus has been defeated, Vezax loses his immunity shield and you can continue DPS'ing him. If you're working on this encounter there are a few tricks you can use to help. First and foremost, stack your raid with as many mages as you can get and have them spec 19/0/52, they do an incredible amount of damage on this fight and as frost they consume very little mana. Paladins - spec into Divine Sacrifice & Divine Guardian, also be sure to run your T8 4pc for the set bonus, for roughly 500 mana your sacred shield will absorb a huge amount of damage. Shadow Priests - spec into Improved Vampiric Embrace, even though your healing is low while in shadow crashes, it will still help during Profound Darkness.. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy Presents...Deathbringer Saurfang (25 Heroic) 5.77 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 6388 exibições Please watch in HD! On Wednesday, February 11th, Forlon Legacy defeated Deathbringer Saurfang on heroic difficulty! This encounter does not change much at all aside from the usual increased HP/damage. The fight mechanics are the same, your overall goal is to prevent Deathbringer Saurfang from generating excess amounts of Blood Power. On heroic, Saurfang's Blood Beasts will gain Scent of Blood shortly after spawning, this will increase their damage and reduce everyone's movement speed by 80%. These adds will need to be killed as fast as possible so they do not land any melee attacks, as this would increase Saurfang's Blood Power. Additionally, Mark of the Fallen Champion will now heal Saurfang for 20% of his total HP as opposed to 5%, any deaths from mark will more than likely result in a wipe due to the strict DPS requirement.. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy vs Atramedes - Cata Beta Action 7.42 min. | 4.5 avaliação | 27885 exibições Blood DK POV Atramedes is an encounter that is found within the upcoming Raid Dungeon of Blackwing Descent. It offers a completely new set of mechanics and shows off a ton of promise towards Blizzards new raiding structure. The fight consists of two phases with the main goal to ensure you keep your 'noise level' low enough the dragon doesn't target you with his nuke ability. Phase one starts by tanking the dragon in the center of the room while each raid member avoids 'noise bombs' and the breath. He will also go to cast a massive raid dmg ability that will require someone in the raid to stun Atramedes by using one of eight gongs. This is rinse and repeat until he goes into the air to begin phase two. Phase two is a lot like Felmyst from Sunwell. A beam spawns on a raid member and has to be kited around the room. It's beneficial to have everyone use speed increases / life grip (as seen in vid) / etc to get ahead of the beam. This phase generally requires the use of one gong to reset everyone's noise level. This is pretty much it. You go back and forth between the two phases until you run out of gongs (8 total). At this point it becomes a soft enrage because there is no way to reset the noise level and will eventually lead to a wipe. Sorry for the sloppy write up. Forlorn Legacy vs Maloriak - Cata Beta Action 5.03 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 6400 exibições Maloriak is one of the bosses found in Blackwing Descent. Right now the fight is pretty under-tuned and broken I think. Right now it is very straight forward and able to skip certain aspects of the encounter (ie interrupt add spawning). The fight consists of tanking him facing away from the cauldron he stands infront of, facing towards the raid to help mitigate the dmg output from his AE conal. He has two different casts, both of which are able to be interrupted (a channeled AE dmg ability and another 1.5sec cast that spawns adds). The boss is also (currently) able to be effected by mind numbing / necrotic strike / etc cast slowing effects. There is also a frost tomb ability that requires you to kill a frost tomb placed on a friendly raid member. Ensure they are topped off to full due to taking dmg upon leaving the tomb. That is pretty much the entire fight until 20%. At that point the boss unleashes dozens of adds and it becomes a burn fight. We just saved heroism and blew him up before we even had to deal with the adds. I am sure this fight will have some addtional tuning before going live. Right now its more of less just a brute force dps check and requires rogues/dk/etc to be quick and consistent on interrupts. Our raid comp: 2 Tanks - DK / Feral 2 Healers - Resto druid / Holy Priest 6 DPS - Hunter / Rogue x2 / Mage / Lock / Boomkin Things to note: -We had a serious problem with the boss despawning at sub 10%. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy Presents...Sindragosa (25 Normal) 8.18 min. | 4.5555553 avaliação | 5039 exibições Please watch in HD! With the unlocking of the final Icecrown Citadel gate, the Frostwing Halls has become available! This wing contains two boss encounters - Valithria Dreamwalker and Sindragosa. Sindragosa was an encounter we got to spend a lot of time testing on the PTR, so we knew the fight mechanics fairly well. Like any dragon fight, Sindragosa has a flight phase and a ground phase. When she is on the ground there are a few abilities to watch out for. Unchained Magic will be periodically cast on 5 random mana users, for the 30 second duration, any spell you cast will cause a stack of Instability, which will deal 2000 arcane damage after 8 seconds, this ability does stack so be careful not to cast too many spells. Every minute or so, Sindragosa will cast Icy Grip, which pulls everyone in the raid to her, immediately after casting Icy Grip she will begin casting Blistering Cold, this will hit everyone in a 25 yard radius for 35000 frost damage, so be sure to run out! When Sindragosa flies up in the air she will cast Frost Beacon on 5 random players, after 7 seconds they will become Frost Tombs. These tombs must be dps'ed down to a low percent but not destroyed, they must be used as line of sight barriers to prevent taking damage from the Frost Bombs that Sindragosa will be dropping during the phase. The air and ground phases will repeat until Sindragosa reaches 35%, at this point she will begin casting Mystic Buffet on the raid every 5 seconds. She will also resume .... + Informações |

There is only one change to note, the rockets launched by the Horde Rocketeers now do a minor knockback as well as increased damage. We were able to defeat this encounter on our very first attempt. Two days after the release of The Ruby Sanctum, Forlorn Legacy has defeated its sole encounter, Halion The Twilight Destroyer! We scored an impressive US 5th and World 10th! Halion is a fairly straightforward encounter, even on heroic difficulty. This fight consists of three phases. Phase 1 starts in our realm, Halion will use fire based abilities such as Fiery Combusion, Flame Breath, and Meteor Strike. Fiery Combusion will leave a fire patch proportional to the size of how long it remained on the player, these should be placed away from the raid, will also knock back any nearby players when displled. Meteor Strike drops down an orb of fire that explodes and spawns four fire patches that travel in different directions. Meteor Strike also spawns a Living Infero and multiple Living Embers. It is very important to note that the Living Inferno has an aura that increases the damage and HP of Living Embers, so the Inferno must be tanked away from the Embers. Phase 2 begins at 75%, where Halion dissapears from our realm and enters the Twilight Realm (very reminiscent of Sartharion and his mini-bosses), the entire raid must click the portal to enter. In the Twilight Realm, Halion will use shadow based abilities such as Soul Consumption, Dark Breath and Twilight Cutter. Soul Consumption is identical to Fiery Combusion with the exception that when dispelled, it will pull nearby players in. We did a lot of research and theorycrafting on this fight before attempting it, we even went so far as to form a raid with our alts in an attempt to get a better feel for the fight mechanics. Since we clear most content within a day or so we decided it would be cool to spend some time working on this achievement. Earth, Wind & Fire requires you to kill the three bosses in the Vault of Archavon within 60 seconds. This video contains three perspectives from raid members - Aurelius (Holy Paladin), Desecrate (Combat Rogue) and Awbade (Protection Paladin). Since the encounter is technically three encounters in one, we felt that having multiple perspectives would help viewers better understand what exactlygoes on during the fight.. + Informações |

On Wednesday, we defeated Sindragosa on only our second attempt, which left gave us a total of 19 attempts for the Lich King! Most of the week was spent preparing for the Lich King encounter, part of this included working on the 10 man version and I am happy to say that all 3 of our groups were able to defeat him! On Sunday night we began our attempts on the 25 man version of The Lich King, things went well for the most part, we got Phase 1 and 2 down solid but Phase 3's Vile Spirits presented a bit of a challenge. We ended the night with a solid 8 attempts remaining. On monday night we came back with a new Phase 3 strategy and defeated The Lich King on our very first attempt!. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy - Cho'Gall Cataclysm Beta, 10N 7.42 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 6323 exibições Our composition was a single tank (Blood DK), 2 healers (Druid, Shaman), Survival Hunter, Affliction Warlock, 2 Frost Mages, Balance Druid, Feral Druid, Retribution Paladin. Despite getting DC'd or critical error out of the game half the time anyone got mind controlled, bugged summons, and a 10 minute run back the boss was a pretty fun fight over all. The Blood Prince Council encounter on heroic difficulty features one new ability over its normal counterpart - Shadow Prison. Shadow Prison is a raid wide ability that deals increasing shadow damage for every second the player is moving. As players move they generate more and more stacks of this debuff. Forlorn Legacy Presents...Anub'arak (25 Heroic) 10.83 min. | 4.6923075 avaliação | 5222 exibições US 7th & World 17th. So far, this has been the only truly challenging encounter in the Crusaders' Coliseum. Beasts took us a few attempts, and we proceeded to one shot Jaraxxus and the Faction Champions (we were carried by the PVP'ers in the guild) and even the Twin Val'kyr went down pretty quick. Anub'arak is a very straightforward encounter. Phase 1 & 2 are fairly simple once you learn how to manage your permafrost. Unfortunately, there are quite a few RNG components that will cause a wipe. The only real challenging part of this boss is Phase 3 (30%) when he casts Leeching Swarm on the raid. During this phase Anubarak will continue to place Penetrating Cold on 5 targets roughly every 20 seconds, major props to our healers for devising a system to keep those targets alive without the use of any special mods.. + Informações |

Forlorn Legacy Presents...Algalon The Observer 10.72 min. | 4.783784 avaliação | 16580 exibições With this kill, our rank is now US 19th & World 40th, not so bad, but we could have done a lot better in my opinion. We would have had Algalon dead the week prior had it not been for our terrible server crashing 10 minutes into our hour of attempts.Of course we attempted to contact a GM but they were less than helpful. Blizzard, if you're going to create timed encounters like this, take server instability into consideration. Algalon is not a difficult encounter, it's actually very simple. The only "difficult" part of the encounter is the fact that you only get 1 hour a week to work on him. For the most part, we are done with Ulduar, only one true challenge remains...Yogg-Saron with 0 Watchers, should be pretty fun!. + Informações |
