PLAYING: THE FASTBACKS - SWALLOW MY PRIDE (RARE) Sub Pop 200 is a compilation released in the early days of the Seattle grunge scene (December 1988). It features songs (many of them first releases and otherwise unattainable) from Tad, The Fluid, Nirvana, Steven Jesse Bernstein, Mudhoney, The Walkabouts, Terry Lee Hale, Soundgarden, Green River, Fastbacks, Blood Circus, Swallow, Chemistry Set, Girl Trouble, The Nights and Days, Cat Butt, Beat Happening, Screaming Trees, Steve Fisk, and The Thrown Ups. Many of these bands went on to be incredibly influential in the early 1990s and onwards. Most notable of these were Nirvana, Soundgarden, Green River (who spawned Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone and late Temple of the Dog and Pearl Jam), Screaming Trees, and Mudhoney. 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback Daily Driver /Local Show Car Built on Halloween Friday October 31st 1969 in Metuchen, New Jersey. I was ordered from Memphis and delivered to De Queen Arkansas where I was sold on November 24, 1969. Only 86904 fastbacks were built in 1970 and only 1113 were built like this says the Kevin Marti report. Reborn with a restoration in January 2008. The full restoration was finished at Classic & Performance Mustangs in Denver. Engine work completed at ShakeShaft Automotive in Denver. Suspension work completed at Bel-Kirk Mustangs, Bellevue, WA. Spooky is her name considering the car was born on Halloween, not to mention it is now scary fast.. She was given a new balanced blueprinted roller cam 302 engine with over 370hp at the rear wheels and a reconditioned wide ratio four speed. Lots of high quality parts including a Holley 650cfm 4 barrel carburetor with electronic choke with heat shield, racing electric fuel pump, braded fuel lines, aluminum roller rockers, ceramic coated headers, Milidon oil pan, MSD ignition, Edelbrock air gap intake and water pump. Mallory distributor, new roller bearing clutch assembly, Vintage American Racing Torque Thrusts wheels with new BF Goodrich T/A tires. . She was given a factory correct reconditioned power steering, disk brakes, power brake booster, racing radiator, tuned suspension including a racing sway bar, monte carlo bar and newer interior.. + Informações

THE WHOLE LINE WAS REDESIGNED THIS YEAR WITH FLOW THROUGH FENDER STYLING SIMLIAR TO THE NEW '48 CADDYS. THE PRICE OF THE OPTIONAL HYDRA-MATIC AUTO TRANSMISSION WAS $159 AND 3/4 OF PONTIAC BUYERS SPRING FOR IT. SEDAN DELIVERY WERE OFFERED THIS YEAR ALONG WITH STATION WAGONS WITH REAL WOOD TRIM STILL INSTALLED. OTHER MODELS WERE CONVERTIBLES, SEDANS AND FASTBACKS LIKE THIS EXAMPLE. ALL MODELS RODE ON A 120 INCH WHEELBASE. 1949 ENGINES WERE EITHER L-HEAD SIXES OR L-HEAD EIGHTS. THE SIXES HAD 90 - 93 HP AND THE EIGHTS HAD 104 - 106 HP. SILVER STREAKS WERE STILL VISIBLE ON THE HOOD AND TRUNK, A TRADITION SINCE THE MID-THIRTIES. FEATURES ON THIS STREAMLINER ARE THE OPTIONAL SUN VISOR, DUAL MIRRORS, FULL WHEEL COVERS, THE AMBER INDIAN HOOD ORNAMENT THAT LIGHTS UP, AND THE BIG ROUND CHROME RADIO GRILLE ON THE DASH. Originally Raven Black....look at the Marti report, In 1968 42582 Fastbacks were made.....only (77) of these came with this paint/inter. combination! Prior to the rebuilding of the Mustang , it was found in a barn where it has been stored for the last 30 years, the old license plates have 1981 registration tags Mustang currently has a late model 1990's 5.0 Roller 302 motor with a E303 cam, MSD distributor, MSD coil and MSD 6200 box, Full length headers, Demon carb, Ford racing ignition wires, Cobra style valve covers and oval air cleaner. Late model Mustang T-5 5 speed transmission recently rebuilt, newer clutch, Hi Performance aluminum driveshaft, 9" 3.50 posi rear end. Alum. Radiator (made to look like a stock radiator); Custom 2 ½" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, with Flowmaster exhaust tips. New KYB shocks, new coil springs, new reverse eye leaf springs (lowers rear 1"), new front end steering components. 1 1/8" front sway bar , 5/8" rear sway bar, New power brake booster, factory front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. To keep an era correct look, a stock 4 speed shifter was fabricated to work with this T5 transmission . Car was painted Ford highland green metalic approx 5 months ago, it is nor concourse show quality, but looks good. No bondo anywhere!! Floorpans and bottom of car looks perfect!!! Introduced as a 1964 1/2 model, Mustangs dominated the pony car field, named after the Mustang horse logo, of course. Right away, FoMoCo got it right with the Mustang and then went further with this 2 + 2 fastback. The 2 + 2 concept indicates two front bucket seats and two rear seats. No bench seat allowed. A great styling touch with the fastback roof is not only is the huge rear greenhouse glass but the louvered slots on each side. Spacious cargo space too. Fastbacks accounted for 77 thousand sales in '65 which was only 11% of total Mustang sales. Suggested price for fastbacks was $2589 wich was $200 more than a standard coupe but just $25 bucks short of the convertible. The 289 cid planted in this 'Stang delivered 164 - 271 horses. Mustang sales were so strong that it propelled Ford to pass the 2 million model year production for the first time in Ford history. Looking at this fastback coupe you can't help but know that Ford got it so right with the Mustang and so right with the 2 + 2.
