SPOILER! This is the ending of the film, and it's pretty revealing some would say, but there is also alot more to it than these intense scenes. The unforgettable last battle of Don Siegel's gritty war film "Hell is for Heroes", starring the great Steve McQueen as Reese and also Bobby Darin as Pvt. Corby among others. McQueen's character Reese is one of the toughest there ever was, and he shows here that he is far from inferior to the likes of Eastwood's Lt. Morris Schaffer in "Where Eagles Dare". Not only is he tough, but also complex. All in all, this is a great film by a very underrated director, Don Siegel. I recommend this highly. Dedicated to all those who have lost their lives in Police custody. On the 7th September 2003, Michael Lloyd Powell (also known as Mikey) was run over, restrained, beaten and CS gassed by Police Officers from the West Midlands Police Force. After the abuse Mikey suffered he was declared dead at the Police station. His Family had to wait for six years to hear the verdict from the Coroner at Mikey's Inquest. The verdict was 'Positional Asphyxia' due to Police restraints. Mikey's case is sadly just one of many. In the feature documentary, filmmakers Bill Maloney and Lilly Starr visited Mikey Powell's Remembrance Day, at the Highfields Community Centre in Leicester. 4WARDEVERUK- the organisation that leads the charge against unlawful deaths in Police custody, asked the filmmakers if they would document the day. Healthcare Heroes Episode 1011.1: Philip Sancken has enjoyed riding motocross competitions for years, but when an accident left him unable to walk, he went to Dr. Peter Simonian of Simonian Sports Medicine Center in Fresno for help. Philip knew his leg injury was far from ordinary and that hed need an orthopedic specialist to put his badly fractured leg back together. While it wouldnt be easy, Dr. Simonian knew he had to clean up debris in Philips knee and carefully piece back his broken bones with carefully placed screws. The surgery was a success and Philip left the hospital only hours after his surgery.
