In April of 1958 when "Twilight Time" was the #1 song in the nation, little did anyone realize that the sun was setting on the careers of this magnificent vocal group. The original hit-making Platters were comprised of lead tenor Tony Williams, Paul Robi, Herb Reed, David Lynch and the sole female vocalist, Zola Taylor. In 1959 while touring in Cincinnati, the four male members were arrested on drug and prostitution charges forever marring what was one of the most successful careers of any vocal group in pop history.
