The Man Behind the Shroud? There is a very credible theory that Leonardo created the Shroud of Turin by a photographic technique. Could it be his face? Radio carbon dating of the fabric of the shroud places it a while before Leonardo's birth so clearly in is a medieval fake as were many relicks. Leonardo wasn't stupid; if he were to try to fake it he would have used old cloth so the dating is consistent. The Mona Lisa certainly looks like Leonardo. Whether the face on the shroud is him - who knows? It seems to have some similarities. There is a statue of Leonardo I saw which looks rather spookily like the shroud. Who knows? We probaly never will but given the photographic qualities of the shroud and the fact that Leonardo was using camera obscura and showed interest in photosenstive chemicals while the transformed shroud resurfaced in a village near Leonardo's workshop at a time when he was at his height, it make's you think... This is my intended last ME3 video, for I feel there is little if anything remaining to be said. For those who do not wish to watch the entire video allow me to summarize: The DLC is junk, the attitude from BiowarEA over the entire incident is insulting, and we all now face a choice whether to continue to support them or not. There were two other points I really wanted to talk about that I decided not to cuz the video was too damned long as is so I'll summarize them briefly: A retroactive choice, as I described, does not always mean the choice is right. In fact the rightness or wrongness of it is frankly irrelevant, the POINT of a retroactive choice is that the player is actively guiding the story by their actions and choices, leaving the creative team more freedom in and, frankly, making it easier to have actual branching storylines in a game. The second point is the difference between a tale and a story. ME, 1 and 2, were both fairly believable. A believable story/game/movie/anything is not on that you could see happening in real life, but one that is very self-consistent, such that it feels more like you're seeing events as they happen (in a fictional universe) rather then hearing a tale. There are many examples of this. A TALE is not self-consistent, is something that you could not possibly believe happening even in its own confines and makes you just sort of process it differently, like Paul Bunyon is a tale, or whatnot. Hey baby angels ^.^ Boohoo for sick days! I've been struck with the cold for the past 2 weeks. My nose is so blocked that I struggle getting sleep these days. Im mega exhausted and kinda bummed out but it's ok, we all get sick. We just need to get lots of rest, drink lots of water and take medicine. It also inspired me to do a Makeup for Sick Days tutorial hehee. Figured this might come in handy for this time of the year. This is really just an everyday look that targets the problematic areas of the flu (dry skin, red nose, pale lips, puffy eyes etc). In fact, this look can also be worn for tired days too. We'll all want to stay home in our pjs and whine all day but there's gonna be days where we'll need to go out (and face people O_O). It could be for work, school or errands. I don't know about you guys but when I'm sick, the last thing I want to do is to spend too much effort or time doing my makeup. I only have two criteria: 1. Sick friendly makeup. I'm sneezing all the time so my eyes water like crazy throughout the day. I don't need my eye makeup to smudge on me. 2. Let's not be greedy. We don't need to look glamorous. Looking healthy is enough for me. Caking lots of makeup on a tired face only makes things worse. I've learnt that lots of foundation makes a dry face look even more cakey.
