Shalom es una banda de pop-rock católica que dio inicio en 1992 en la ciudad de Mcallen, Texas, por Juan José Trujillo (vocalista) y el padre Eduardo Yánez. Pero fue hasta 1995 cuando se logró realizar la primera producción discográfica la cual se tituló "Soy cristiano". Posteriormente en 1996 se grabó la segunda producción,"Hacia ti". Ese año significó mucho para Shalom, ya que durante el festival internacional de música y arte, Hosanna 98, realizado en Orlando, Florida, el grupo ganó el premio "Exclesis". Este reconocimiento es otorgado por la labor social realizada por el ministerio. Ese año el grupo se enfocó mucho en dar conciertos en cárceles para menores de edad. En 1998 se terminó de grabar su tercera producción discográfica, "La tierra de mis recuerdos". Esta producción tuvo una gran aceptación en el ámbito de México, Estados Unidos y Centro América, donde incluso en Guatemala se le reconoció a Shalom como la Revelación Internacional de 1999. Justo después de esta producción Shalom entendió que su apostolado consistía en evangelizar al no evangelizado?buscar la manera de llegar a aquellas personas que no conocen al Señor. En el 2000 Shalom graba su cuarta producción, "No es lo mismo pero es igual". Siguiendo su la misma línea marcada por sus producciones anteriores, este álbum utiliza los sonidos y estilos que más gustan a los jóvenes para así disponerles a recibir el mensaje de Cristo que inspira cada uno de sus canciones.. + Informações

A deceptively unassuming piece which actually has a complex organ accompaniment and gives two of the choristers several chances to shine with some highly competent duetting. It's just beautiful. Someone asked who the composer was. As I didn't know, I asked Murphywood, who has replied: Wow that's a tough one! Just checked the "Radio Times" cutting - sadly there is no mention of the music! I wondered in Revd. Bailey (who did the commentary on the service) may have mentioned it during the service, but no. Finally I played it to my friend and we decided that it sounded like Haydn or Mozart. I checked The Choral Public Domain Library (one of the world's largest free sheet music sites, where you can search for scores). I checked all the Haydn Masses. But nothing. Then started on the Mozart ones.
