It doesn't take that long to complete when compared to 4 or 3, but it is still just as huge. The mindfuck-ish eternal nature gets slowly shown up - secret opening at 5:00, epileptic corridor, exit room with 4 exit portals out of which 2 kill you - the first teleports you onto huge outdoor area with cybers that are supposed to kill you (that's why 97% kills) and the second one onto inescapable damaging floor. Pwad: Eternal Doom Skill: Ultra-Violence Map: 3 Name: Inter-Base Time: 12:17 Category: UV-Max This run is quite old, but around 13 years younger than previous lonely demo for it anyway. The way of gameplay in eternal is slowly showing up by the time you reach this map - huge, requires plenty of memorization, routing and doing it fast in a single go is very difficult, much harder than many slaughters like HR if you ask me. Also, battles... battles in ED are really the thing that made me like this wad a lot. It's experimental, haphazard and uncomparable to any other wad. Run went all in all good enough, although I would play some parts different by now. Except for tripping over exit line, I hadn't done that many screw-ups so I didn't redo it. Another week, another TNS session. This week, the crew returns to Eternal Doom to finish off the 2nd half of the wad. While being a fairly decent megawad (Aside from a few stinker maps), it turns out several of the maps were not designed for coop. Eternal DOOM Music - "DOOMin': Live!" ©Copyright 1995-2010, Rich ¥Weeds¥ Nagel, Team Eternal - All rights reserved Here is a song that I had originally written back in 1995, which was later added to the soundtrack for Team Eternal's "Eternal DOOM" (Map 26, "No Parking"). Most of the music that I had composed for Eternal DOOM was fairly "high-browed" orchestral type of stuff, but this song was one of the more driving rock pieces that was included with the game. I have re-sequenced the original MIDI file in "Yamaha XG" format, re-recorded the song using the Yamaha S-YXG50 software synthesizer, and created a simple movie file (with a few credits and screenshots from Eternal DOOM III). Note that the Yamaha S-YXG50 software synthesizer generates MIDI music identical to an actual hardware Yamaha MU50 or MU80 MIDI module tone generator, as well as a Yamaha DB50XG MIDI daughterboard for PC. The re-sequenced song is a live rock concert performance sort of thing, with a driving hard rock style that the screaming girls in the crowd and the audience in the movie seem to like!
