I found this song on a "Guitarist" magazine CD i bought a long long long time ago that Eric Used to write for. i was fairly sure i threw out this CD out along with all the other magazines i got rid of a few years ago but luckily enough this one slipped by me. said id upload it since there isnt any live version of this song on here its such an excellent version of bushwacker too. I was pretty shocked to find out only a few weeks ago that Eric had passed away...and that he was Irish... and a such brilliant guitarist... all i really knew about him was that he used to always have great songs tabbed out in the "guitarist" and "guitarist techniques" magazines now and again... im certain sure i learned the finger picking for Nick Drakes "Things Behind the Sun" from one of Eric's columns... and anyway we didnt have youtube back in 2003 or 2004 or whenever it was i bought those magazines so it wasnt as easy to just do a search for somebodies music as it is these days. Shame he had to leave so soon anyway. There is a good radio documentary on RTE that is narrated by his brother, just some interesting things about Eric's life and how they grew up together (with a bit of background music by Eric). Beyond my comprehension how great guitarist's are not recognised? in this sad commercial World! Eric was a brilliant Irish Guitar player and Head of Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, alas he died of throat cancer at the tender age of 37. Stuart Ryan his close friend and another brilliant guitar player composed this piece as a Tribute to Eric.
