Who is Pauline Edwards: At 27 years old, Victoria native Pauline Edwards writes and sings from personal experience. She has a genuine desire to inspire her listeners to explore their own life experiences and discover the potential for positive change through realization and acceptance. Pauline is a classically trained violinist, and has been playing guitar for nearly a decade. Emerging onto the scene in 2002 with local culture jammers collective KINGBONG, Pauline established herself as an energetic and versatile performer, contributing backup vocals and violin to the 10-piece ensemble. She has performed and recorded with Toronto's soul/dub group Greenlaw Ave., downtempo soul saviours LAL, including a live performance at the 2004 Ohm festival, and Victoria's own James Kasper, to name a few. In summer 2007, Pauline completed a five week Canadian tour (21 dates) as the opener for the Wild Lily Gypsy Caravan tour-a traveling show of 7 different Canadian performers from across the country. With influences ranging from Bach to Radiohead, her music reveals a matured personal style that sings to the melody of the soul.
