Think crappy three second You Tube clips that no one watches or comments upon, uploaded demos and audio shareware ephemera, General MIDI instruments no one should use, ancient homepage anthems: every sample in the new Soft Pink Tube material is generated by the faceless huddled masses "swinging in the hammock of the Internet", to quote the poet Fred Seidel. An assortment of election ephemera from the Australian federal election that took place on the 24th of March, 1990, featuring campaign advertisements from both the incumbent Labor Party (fronted by prime minister Bob Hawke) and the Liberal/National Party coalition (with Andrew Peacock as opposition leader) as well as 'how-to-vote' spots from the Australian Electoral Commission. Synopsis: 1. AEC - Informal voting, that wonderful, democratic right that allows us to write whatever the bleeding heck we want on our ballot papers, even if we are required, by law, to participate in the electoral process. Of course, if you actually want to vote correctly, stay tuned for segments #5 and #9! 2. Labor - "Children are our future" (feeling sick already? Tehching Hsieh is an artist who has been mythologized since retiring from making art in 2000. In 1970s and 1980s New York, he made an exceptional series of artworks: five separate one-year-long performances. The exhibition will focus on documentation of his performance 'life work', One Year Performance 1980-1981 (Time Clock Piece). For one year, the artist punched a worker's time clock located in his studio, on the hour, every hour. Marking the occasion by taking a self-portrait on a single frame of 16mm film, the resulting reel documents a year in his life at approximately one second per day -- a pace that is polar opposite of the enduring length of the original performance. The punch cards, witnessed by a third party for authenticity, and other ephemera, document Hsieh's life restructured around this highly repetitive task. This will be the first exhibition of the Taiwanese-born, New York-city based artist's work in Europe.. + Informações

The Itchy-O Marching Band- A throbbing 25-piece band of masked mahem-makers invites you to dissolve the performer/audience divide and melt into the chaos, that is the disorienting power of itchy-O. The itchy-O Marching Band (IOMB) is a Denver-based percussion-centered electronic marching band and the mobile arm of the experimental film/music troupe itchy-O. itchy-O brings a sophisticatedly savage sound and the sheer joy of electronic instruments un-tethered and running free. With a driving drum corp complemented by an arsenal of special surround sound effects units including synthesizers, theremin, vocoders, and several other hand held electronic devices, the IOMB completely engulfs and immerses an audience from every angle in an electric bog of music, ephemera and spectacle.
