The song was performed twenty-first on the night (following the United Kingdom's Samantha Janus with "A Message To Your Heart" and preceding Italy's Peppino Di Capri with "Comme è ddoce 'o mare"). At the close of voting, it had received 60 points, placing 9th in a field of 22. The song is an environmentally-themed plea to the people of the world. Patroklou sings about the damage humanity has caused to the planet and that the SOS of the title is from the earth itself. While such topics are relatively common in popular music, they had not been raised as frrequently at the Contest. Stavros and Constantina performing "I Agapi Akoma Zi" ("Love Still Lives"), the Cypriot entry at the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest. After enjoying great success with their first two entries (btw, Stavros was the lyricist of their '81 debut), this represented a cruel change of fates for Cyprus, who wouldn't see another top-10 placing until 1987 (it was even the only time that we didn't give them ANY points!). However, I personally like this simple and optimistic ballad, even though I find the live performance to be way louder than necessary! And a bit artist info: Constantina became a very successful artist in Greece during the late 80s-early 90s (she's basically retired now), and even had her revenge as the composer of Cyprus' 1997 entry, with the performers being her brother and sister. And notice, in the backing vocals, Evridiki and Elena Patroklou, in their first-ever appearances at the contest!. + Informações

"Ela Ela (Come Baby)" (Cypriot Greek: ??? ???) was the Cypriot entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, performed in English by Constantinos Christoforou. As Cyprus had finished in the top ten in the previous year's Contest, the song was already qualified for the final. It was thus performed ninth on the night (following Albania's Ledina Çelo with "Tomorrow I Go" and preceding Spain's Son de Sol with "Brujería"). At the close of voting, it had received 46 points, placing 18th in a field of 24 and returning Cyprus to the semi-final at their next Contest appearance. The song is an up-tempo number, with Christoforou urging his lover to "come baby, come baby". Christoforou had previously appeared at the 1996 Contest singing "Mono Yia Mas" solo, as well as taking part as a member of One with "Gimme" at the 2002 Contest. With this performance, he became the most prolific contestant to appear purely for Cyprus (Anna Vissi having two appearances for Greece in addition to her sole appearance for Cyprus. Additionally, the performance represented the third "leg" in the rare sequence of a solo performance, followed by one as a group member and followed again by a solo performance. The studio version of the song features prominent backing vocals by Elena Patroklou who was also featured in the music video.
