My friend Marshall asked me to cover Woodchoppers Ball by Ten Years After (their arrangement of a song by the great Woody Herman). Although I thought this was impossible I spent the past 3 days working on it and here is what I have come up with. I hope it does the song justice. Will Yun Lee was an aquentance of mine years back. must have been 16 years ago. I was 12 and studying taekwondo at the academy that was at that time run by Mr. Lee and others. Will also instructed classes from time to time, mostly the advanced classes. Brian was a childhood friend of mine and I remember the few times I spent with the family well. The Lee family are exceptional people. Will is one of the most kind, down to earth dudes you could ever know. Seeing him on tv was surreal to be sure but I was not surprised at where his drive, patience, and dedication have taken him. All of his success is well deserved and I can't wait to see more and more of his talent all across the screen. I still dont know how Mr. Lee used to crack my ears. Like they were knuckles. Weird.
