Since the act of creating Artificial Intelligence is a task that benefits directly from the intelligence level of the creator, this more-intelligent-than-men being would surely be faster and more efficient at creating his own AI being, let us call him Beta. Up to this point, the game is pretty easy, until you face the Eidolon Odin. Odin doesn't take any crap. Accessory: Spark Ring x2 Default Paradigm: Dualcasting -Libra -Auto-Chain -Switch to Ying & Yang Paradigm -Auto-Chain -Potion etc... When Odin puts on 'Ullr's Shield', switch to 'Dualcasting' Paradigm to boost chain bonus and fill the Gestalt meter. Then switch back to 'Ying & Yang' when he goes offensive. Use a potion when you think you need it. Odin should focus on Hope most of the time. Some people use 'Synergist' to give Hope/Lightning 'Protect', and that works too, but it takes too much time switching, so I just use potions while the ATB bar fills. If you still have troubles, you might use an Aegisol or Fortisol if you have any. But I would recommend fighting him without it, since there are more battles like this down the line, and you might not have items to help you. It's good experience. Please remember to LIKE the video. Parting from the premise that a Technological Singularity would progress at a much faster rate than biological evolution, we arrive to an arguably grim scenario where humanity's contributions to civilization progressively lose significance relative to AI Since there are scarce basis to hope for a purely altruistic technocracy, the best theoretical solution that offers some manner of continuing existence for the human race is the concept of "Transhumanism", defined as a positive use of technology to enhance and eventually re-define what it means to be human. In this message I collect answers to questions in this general topic. Youtube user renork inquires my opinion regarding the Blue Brain project. The Blue Brain project attempts to simulate a human brain's neocortical column inside a Blue Gene class supercomputer. My knowledge on this topic is limited. Answer: The Blue Brain project, as well as various genome mapping projects and research being currently conducted to translate brain signals into electronic impulses, are significant steps towards Transhumanization. Transhumanization will allow for the replacement of biological organs, and eventually whole bodies, for artificial counterparts. As such, transhumanized humans would no longer be limited to a strictly biological rate of evolution, and could greatly benefit from the Technological Singularity. Greetings, little people. I am Eidolon TLP. (...) I believe Iraq should be split into three different countries, for each of its ethnic constituencies: Kurds, Shias, and Sunnis. For many years, Kurds have already maneuvered themselves into a distinct nation, severed in many practical ways from the whole of Iraq, and would generally favor official secession. Presumably, Shias and Sunnis do not wish to be together either, save for practical reasons. The challenge in such strategy lies in splitting the oil resources which are abundant in the Kurdish territory, with the Shia majority and the Sunni minority. Aggression against the Kurds from Turkey, as well as strong influence from Iran, is certainly to be expected in this scenario, although its unavoidable in nearly any scenario, and its occurring already at a lesser degree. Regardless, the nature of the conflict would deescalate from an inherently violent clash of religion and ethnicity, into a comparatively simpler dispute over finances. In such environment, the US could afford to reduce its military role to mere border policing, simply keeping the formal armies of each nation from crossing into the other, while diplomatic negotiations take place. I wish to point out that instability in Iraq is not necessarily detrimental to certain sectors of the US government, in particular the often mislabeled "military-industrial" complex. The topics are: governance, AI, humanity I shall start with a question from youtube user dromoe. Dromoe asks which system of governance do I consider best. Answer: If God existed, it would have to be theocracy. If the human race was united, rational and philanthropic, it would have to be democracy. If AI was sufficiently independent, intelligent and powerful, it would have to be technocracy. Ask yourself which scenario is closer on the horizon: the existence of God, world peace, or powerful AI? Important caveat: AI under any form of human control is not technocracy, but oligarchy. Rule by priests without God is not theocracy, but oligarchy. Rule by elected representatives on an uneven playing field is not democracy, but oligarchy. Oligarchy has historically been the most harmful form of governance in history. This segues into the question by youtube user UmberGryphon. UmberGryphon correctly defined "AI Singularity" as the time when a AI being becomes able to create another AI being more powerful than itself. In theory, this triggers an asymptotic curve of AI evolution that quickly escalates beyond the realm of comprehension.
