This is some gameplay footage of Ehrgeiz on the PS1 as played on a PS2 with texture smoothing on. Ehrgiez is most remembered for giving players the ability to play as characters from Faina Fantasy VII. Overall, it's a decent fighting game, but it lacks the depth of other PS1 fighters. My general strategy in this footage was mashing on buttons, and this is a game that caters to doing just that. There are some other specials, and techniques thrown in there, but overall the fighting system is fun, but slightly shallow overall. The game itself, however, comes packed with extras like mini games, and, as in Tobal (which DreamFactory also developed), a dungeon quest mode. In fact the dungeon quest mode is it's own separate game, and is pretty good considering it's attached to a fighting game. Overall, it's not the best fighting game on the PS1, but it's worth a look, especially from Final Fantasy VII fanatics. NOTE: Notice how Cloud had to get his girl to do his dirty work for him.. + Informações

Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring (German: lit. "Ambition" Japanese: ????? Eagaitsu) is a fighting game developed by DreamFactory and published by Namco in 1998 for the arcade platform. It was first ported to the PlayStation and published by Square Co. in 1998, then to the PlayStation Network by Square Enix in 2008. Perhaps the most noteworthy feature of the game is the inclusion of characters from Final Fantasy VII in the PlayStation version. Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Sephiroth, Yuffie Kisaragi, Vincent Valentine and Zack Fair are playable fighters, although the last three must be unlocked by various means. Ehrgeiz is a ps1 fighting game released in 1998 (US:1999) by Squaresoft. Among the playable characters, you got FF7 Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, Yuffie, Vincent and Zack. Here are the mini-games mode played with Sephiroth, or "how to have this legendary SOLDIER do silly games and make him completely ridiculous"... + some of Sephiroth's moves in arcade mode as a kind of bonus at the end, for those who didn't know this game. Sorry for the lags. I tried a lot of things concerning the emulator's configuration, but it lags a lot even when not recording. So I speeded up the vid x2 to make it bearable to watch (that's why during a few seconds in the vid you will have 2 or 3 short parts that will seem very fast : it's because they were one of the rare moments the game was playing normally without lagging..) I also got to warn you that it was the very first time I was trying this game while recording, so I got to discover the mini-games' rules and keys to use at the same time. I still don't really get the whole rules about that game with the squares... So thanks for watching, sorry about the video quality (especially sound, but I don't think you're missing a lot about it xD), and excuse my english if it's not correct.. + Informações
