This is my very first internet upload of me drumming. I've been really planning to do this for a long time but for some unforeseen reasons, I just couldn't manage to get in to actually doing it. Thanks to my cousin, Faith, who was responsible for reviving the idea, but this time, it actually materialized. This is an improvisation solo I did on top of a song called "Rockstar Encore" by a now-defunct band called Effinboiche (myspace.com/effinboicheband). I added extra parts at the end just for show. The set is part of Slingerland's old Spitfire series. It still sounds great. The cymbals are all made by Zildjian (I don't know what series they belong to). I use local-brand heads called Lazer on all drums excluding the floor tom which still has the original Spitfire drumhead on from the time it was bought out from the music store almost a decade ago. As you can see, all of them are not coated. I have all of my toms muffled. The mounted tom is double muffled - a built-in muffler and another lay-on muffler. My snare has very weird specs. The batter is a typical uncoated local-brand Lazer which used to have a built-in muffler but, because I didn't like how it sounded, I stripped it off so I could get that ringy crack and those good accented rim shots. Here's the really weird part about that - my resonator is the old worn-out Spitfire coated snare head that came with the set. I tuned both of the heads as tight as it can go using the standard cross-lug tuning technique. After .... + Informações
