This is my favorite track from Eerie's solo album "The Blood and the Body" released in 1998. His stuff is very dark and simple, but great, I really like his music. Eerie was the photographer of the Misfits and bassist of Samhain and Danzig (until 1995). He released an album with Mike Morance (Uneasy Listening), solo albums (The Blood and the Body / Bad Dream Number 13 / Kinda Country) and one as Eerie Von's Spider Cider (That' All There Is). Nashville gonzo-Americana singer/songwriter Kara Clark came to the Coffee Pot on Wednesday to do an acoustic show -- a precursor to a full-band show she has scheduled for May 26 at the Pot. Along for the ride was her guitarist, Matt Shively of Franklin County, and her husband, Eerie Von of Danzig and Samwain. We sat down on the Pot's porch and talked about how two people from distant ends of the musical spectrum met up and got hitched. And we talked about other stuff, too. It was pretty fun. Sorry the video is dark, but there was little available light, and I didn't want to beam my little cell video light into their faces. Kind of makes things seem spookier, anyway. Kinda Country is an album released by Eerie Von in 2009 on Ghastly Records. It is Eerie Von's fifth album since he left the metal band Danzig. The album is notable for being the first by Eerie Von not to fit into the rock genre, instead featuring a dark country-style sound. The choice of album title was inspired by this fact. Eerie Von first began writing songs from Kinda Country as far back as 1996. As these songs didn't fit in with his gothic rock sound, they remained unrecorded until enough tracks where available for an entire album. Several songs, including "Please Don't Wake Me", "Lonely Me" and "Stop Getting Over You", are about Eerie Von's past relationships.
