This was the "B" side of Find mr Zebedee . here is the true Edison Lighthouse story . Love Grows was written by Tony Mcauley and Barry Mason . and recorded by bell records , using session musicians , and Tony Burrows on vocals . They auditioned a young band , who apperared on Top of the Pops . tony didnt want to tour , so the band went out as a 4 piece .We were offered the job a year later , and were told the young band had been let go . the follow up "Petula" was also session men but with new singer ,Paul Vigrass" ( left in picture) . the Thirdsingle was "Whats Happening " , again session men , but we were allowed to do the backing vocals . also we were allowed to compose and perform the "B" side "Take a little Time" . The last single was "Find mr Zebedee" featuring our bass player David-Kerr Clemenson on lead vocals (second from right) . I wrote and sang lead vocals to the "B"side "Belinda" which you are listening to . We split up for good in 1973 , and any band since then using the name , have no connection to original history. + Informações

This was the "B" side of "What's Happening" , the third single which did nothing in UK , but was NO 6 in Japan in 1972 . We were told we could write and record "B: side if we did it within one day , so we hired a studio in London , and wrote and recorded this in the same evening . Description: In the early 1970s, British session singer Tony Burrows did a miraculous feat of helping lead several studio/session bands to stardom with a chart-topping hit or two for each. For those of us listening to poprock radio in those days, we couldn't figure out what was happening since the airwaves were filled with megahits which sounded somewhat similar but had different band names and member lineups. When examining the performers with closer inspection, there appeared to be the same lead singer in each of the groups! His name was Tony Burrows and his hit output at the time was simply incredible! Burrows sang lead and contributed to hits with the following... Edison Lighthouse (Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes); White Plains (My Baby Loves Lovin'); The Pipkins (Gimme Dat Ding); The Brotherhood of Man (United We Stand); The First Class (Beach Baby), and several more. In February 1970 he became the first (and still the only) person to appear on BBC Television's Top Of The Pops fronting three different acts in one show. In case you can't comprehend; just imagine watching a variety show containing various top acts of the day and three of the very biggest chart-toppers appearing on the show all have the same lead singer!! It's hard to imagine since it's never happened since. This rare footage from TOTP is from the editing suite and includes timecodes and date information.
