Trading on its WRC credentials, Citroen has developed a sport version of the DS3 with a 1.6 liter THP engine pumped up to 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. The track has also been widened by 30 mm from the standard DS3, both front and back, the suspension stiffened and lowered by 15 mm, and the steering has been tightened too. The DS3 Racing features the same design as the standard model but comes fitted with a host of carbon finished body panels. Those parts include the semi-rigid front bumper, a rear spoiler, side-door moldings, and the lower-body trim and wing extensions which accentuate the 18-inch sport wheels. Dans sa version ultime, Sport Chic, la DS3 adopte feux à LED, pavillon bi-ton, becquet arrière, double sortie déchappement chromée et jantes 17 diamantées avec cache moyeu assorti à la carrosserie ! A bord, on aime : la position de conduite, le maintien des sièges sport, spécifiques à notre finition et lambiance. C3 et DS3 font planche de bord commune à lexception du volant estampillé DS, du pommeau de levier de vitesses ou encore, ici, du pédalier alu. Pour ce qui est de léquipement, notre version profite de la clim automatique. Phares et essuie-glace automatiques ainsi que GPS font partie dun pack à 1.300 euros. La DS3 profite de 5 motorisations dont 3 essence. Le THP 150, le plus puissant dentre eux, nous a conquis ! Disponible dès les plus bas régimes, il offre en prime, une sonorité rauque des plus suggestives. Et au volant, on y prend vite goût dautant que le châssis est agile, ferme et confortable. Un vrai bonheur. Côté conso, si vous êtes raisonnables, comptez 8,7l au 100 km en cycle mixte, dans la moyenne. Les passagers manquent un peu dégard à larrière. La place est comptée au niveau des jambes et à la tête. La faute en partie à une hauteur en baisse de 6cm comparée à la C3.
