When the Fire Brigade or the RSPCA cant help who do you call? Dyno-Rod of course! Yesterday Dyno-Rod took a call from a very distressed lady from North London saying Please help me, I dont know what to do, the fire brigade are here and they cant do it. The call was taken by Emma in the Wembley offices who calmed the lady down and managed to establish that a week old puppy had accidentally been flushed down the toilet and was now stuck in the drains. The Fire Brigade and the RSPCA had been on site for around 3 hours but they could not rescue the tiny puppy so of course the next thing to do was to call Dyno Rod for help. Local Dyno Rod Operations Manager, Mark, soon took charge of the rescue operation. Quick thinking Mark, suggested that Dyno Rods CCTV technology could be used to find out exactly where the puppy was stuck within the drainage system and that the neighbours needed to be told not to flush any toilets to ensure the puppy wasnt flushed into the main sewer. The lady was very concerned said Mark she was worried about the puppy and about the cost of the rescue. Mark was able to reassure her that there would not be a charge from Dyno Rod. All we were concerned about was getting the puppy out alive he added. The puppy has now been checked over by the local vet and remarkably is unhurt and recovering well. This is a playback test of the Toolbox Boombox. I'm demonstrating the max playback time of the box using external speakers. This is a worse case scenario as I would usually black out the Alpine Head Unit during playback to save power. I also will rarely use external speakers. I plan to do another test in the future just testing the playback time of the Toolbox Boombox itself and blanking out the head unit. I'm going to estimate an extra hour of playback (5 hours). This demonstration shows the 12v 11ah battery gives right at 4 hours of playback time with the Alpine's high power V-Drive amp loaded down to max capacity. This is my 2 liter ebb and flow or flood and drain hydroponics setup. Total parts cost maybe $60-80. I used an old entertainment center that I was about to toss. I cut holes in the shelf to recieve the tops of each of the 2 liter bottles, cut the bottoms off the bottles and inverted them. The fittings I first tried to JB Weld nylon hose barbs into holes drilled in the caps and they almost all failed. My revision was to instead use some cheap corks, drill holes in them and gorrilla glue some PEX tubing pieces into them, then wrap some plumbers/thread tape around the other end of each PEX piece, insert that into the tubing and then double wrap it with zip ties. This ends up being water tight and no leaks. The timer turns the air pump on for 15 min. every six hours and the air pushes the nutrient water down and up the tube into the distribution manifold to each grow chamber. That little green valve in the air line by the pump allows me to adjust how fast the air is released from the nutrient water chamber and thus how fast the grow chambers drain out via gravity. The air valve of course can't be wide open otherwise the tiny little air pump can't build the pressure needed to lift the water. If the release valve is all the way closed, the flood happens faster, but it takes too long to drain out and the water just sits in the grow chambers. The grow media is just pea gravel inside a foodsaver bag cut from a roll with pin holes poked into it with a sewing machine. The bag then .... + Informações
