"Some Broken Hearts Never Mend" was released in 1977, and was a single written by Wayland Holyfield, and recorded by Don Williams. It would be Williams' sixth number one hit on the country chart. The single stayed at number one for a single week and spent a total of twelve weeks within the top 40. I wish I would have a better mic to go get those lower pitches in this song, but it is what it is lol. Try to think what you were doing back in 1977...hope this rendition can take you there, and bring back some good ole memories. Thanks for dropping in...Take care.. + Informações

Buck Norris sings "Stay Young" by Don Williams. Born May 27, 1939, in Floydada, Texas, Don Williams spent much of his childhood in Corpus Christi, Texas. His father was a mechanic whose job took him to other regions, his mother played guitar and he grew up listening to country music. He and Lofton Kline formed a semi-professional folk group called the Strangers Two, and then, with the addition of Susan Taylor, they became the Pozo-Seco Singers, the phrase being a geological term to denote a dry well. Handled by Bob Dylan's manager Albert Grossman, they had major pop hits in the US with "Time," "I Can Make It With You" and "Look What You've Done." Following Kline's departure, they employed several replacements, resulting in a lack of musical direction. After Williams had failed to turn the trio towards country music, they disbanded in 1971. He then worked for his father-in-law but also wrote for Susan Taylor's solo album via Jack Clement's music publishing company. Clement asked Williams to record albums of his company's best songs, mainly with a view to attracting other performers. In 1973, Don Williams, Volume 1 was released on the fledgling JMI label and included such memorable songs as Bob McDill's apologia for growing old, "Amanda," and Williams' own "The Shelter of Your Eye." Williams' work was reissued by Dot Records, and Don Williams, Volume 2 included "Atta Way to Go" and "We Should Be Together." Sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways it can change someone else's life forever.... This is a sweet little American country song written by Wayland Holyfield that I heard on a Don Williams CD a few weeks ago and I couldn't stop thinking about it..then I couldn't stop playing it, then I thought I'd record it.. As wiki says "A ballad expressing unwavering faithfulness and loyalty to a spouse or other soulmate" This is for my Mum and Dad who have been married for over sixty years.. and even had a seven year courtship.. and I can't ever recall them falling out... + Informações

One of the sweetest love songs ever, this country classic was written by Don Williams and Wayland Holyfield in 1976. My interpretation uses 2/3 part harmonies, real voice, and a Martin D-42AR (adirondack/amazon) Til the rivers all run dry Till the rivers all run dry Till the sun falls from the sky Till life on earth is through I'll be needing you I know sometimes, you may wonder From little things, I say and do But there's no need for you to wonder If I need you, 'cause I'll need you Till the rivers all run dry Till the sun falls from the sky Till life on earth is through I'll be needing you Too many times, I don't tell you Too many things get in the way And even though sometimes I hurt you Still you show me, in every way Till the rivers all run dry Till the sun falls from the sky Till life on earth is through I'll be needing you. + Informações
