I just Googled "how to make a track dolly", and some of the sites I originally used to make my track dolly no longer appear to be there. However, Googling "track dolly skateboard wheels" turned up lots of useful sites that should help you. DETAILS AND PARTS LIST Total cost of the dolly was about £80. Total Dolly size = 2ft wide x 3ft long. Type of pipe used for track = 32mm PVC waste pipe. Angle alluminium width = 2in x 2in at 3mm thick. (2 x 3ft lengths) Carriage bolts: 6 x 4in (to hold the angle aluminium to the board). Carriage bolts: 16 x 2in (to bolt the wheels to the angle aluminium) MAIN BOARD: 2 X sheets of 2ft X 3ft 7-PLY sheets screwed together with 30mm self-tapping screws. Skateboard wheel spacers x 16 skateboard wheels x 16. Dia: 50mm (52mm are also ok) Bearing assemblies x 32 NOTE: Angle aluminium is a lot easier to work with than angle iron - which is very heavy and hard to drill & cut. It also goes rusty and is generally not much fun to handle. WHEEL POSITIONING TIPS: The hole positions will be different depending on the size of your wheels and the size of your angle aluminium. Best thing is to drill a pair of test holes for 1 pair of wheels in the approximate place where you think they should go. Fit the wheels and test them to see whether they sit on the track in the desired position or whether the holes need moving closer or further .... + Informações

When I can't go fishing for one reason or another and I'm goofing around the house I will find something to do. I've built four kayak karts over the last year and each one has been a little better then the one before. Version 1.3 made two trips to the creek and worked OK but put too much of the weight of the yak on me. Version 2 didn't really count and never saw any service. Version 3.2 was good and showed promise but the PVC pipe broke when stressed during testing. So along comes version 4.0. I built this kayak crate for hauling my kayak around and then taking the wheels off to use it for fishing. I wanted something cheap that would serve a dual purpose, and this did the job pretty well. I searched around the internet a while before chosing to build on like this. It took a while to get perfected, but I think that it does a great job so far. A cost breakdown would be: crate $6 from Dollar General wheels: $3.50 each from Menards, threaded rod:$1.50 cotter pins $0.49 each, rod holder free from home depot, bungee straps 5 for $1 from the dollar store, had the duct tape to put on the threaded rod to keep it from scratching, 4 bolts $.04 (two on each side to keep wheels from spinning up the threaded rod) and 2 circle bolts to use for the axle about $0.50 each, also had the piece of wood. So that's a pretty cheap way to make a kayak crate and a cart to haul it with.
