Acquired electronic keyboards and a guitar-synthesizer, in February 1987, the quartet is the second register tape, The Ritual Continues. Mesmerized by the harmonies of Eastern music, and particularly by the repetition of simple figures, the Djam Karet expand their horizons harmonics. The work is structured in eight short episodes and more measured. Brevity takes a little 'determination of the quartet, but it should be at the big picture together, which is less structured and more four-square. Shaman's Descent, combining violence typical of the style Tibbetts' guitar arrangements with more atmospheric and the Eastern grain clearly serves as a hyphen with the jam of the first period, but the real novelty of the new course is in the thick crackling sounds nature that constitutes the backbone of A Quiet Place, then sublimated from a "prayer" to the electronic Kitaro, and even more in the style collage of The Black River, which blends the sound of a jackhammer, verses of tropical birds, dissonance electronic, distorted guitar and a voice sampled, and would have figured well sull' Ummagumma of Pink Floyd.. + Informações
