Dissect my technique: Pt 1... 9.57 min. | 4.9177217 avaliação | 29052 exibições Sort of a segue into making tutorials... (I am still going to be working on some tutorials very soon, with commentaries. In the meantime, I thought I would try this:) Realtime video capture of a spontaneous critter doodle (I'm making it up as I go along). Let's see if this is a good start on working my way up to the tutorial/commentary stuff. For this, I tried to keep all of my tools and settings visible for you to see what I am doing. And I will be adding annotations to help describe further things I am doing I my keyboard that you cannot see. This is pretty much the exact same procedure I use to do my dragon art digitally. If I miss something, I will try to answer in the commentary section or post it as an annotation on the vid itself. (I realize you can only fit so many annotations before it really clutters up the screen). Also, I am wondering how youtube resolution will work for this. We'll find out!. + Informações |

Permeate me, oh night, as with the forest you did for heart is cold, cold as ice I drown in the colour of your eye for a black heart will only find beauty in darkness I breathe it's eternity to absorb the sky where the shadows of death may lie [Chorus:] Feel the call - Nocturnal desire Sorrow's breath - Enchanting cries Night's blood - Taste damnation's wine Feel the pain - Nocturnal desire The devil's path of dark delight Night's blood - Pure damnation's wine Eyes are glowing, burn as hell's fire Mark thy wisdom in my mind Those who never was born but whose darkness eternally devastated the goodness built up through milleniums No time passed, our victory is eternal Our scorn, our silence... A heart dies drowning in the night's blood Everlasting malice for the wicked soul Can't resist the night's sweet blood Loneliness in the embrace of you autumn night The night that froze my cries Deep into the woods glows a fading light I sold my soul, cold as ice I drown in the colour of your eye for a black heart will only find beauty in darkness I breathe it's eternity to absorb the sky where the shadows of death may lie [Chorus:] Feel the call - Nocturnal desire Sorrow's breath - Enchanting cries Night's blood - Taste damnation's wine Feel the pain - Nocturnal desire The devil's path of dark delight Night's blood - Pure .... + Informações |

Dissect my Technique Pt 2... 7.33 min. | 4.8925233 avaliação | 64027 exibições Here's the next real-time segment of how I do my sci fi critters in photoshop... In this one, you can see how I apply the color mode with the brush, as well as the accenting I do with dodge and burn for highlights, shadows, and a slight color manipulation. As with the last vid, this is silent and put up so that those who requested slower vids can dissect how I work. Ultimately, I will end up re-editing these and putting a sound commentary on them in the near future, and probably post them on youtube, but for sure on my website. Speaking of the website, I am adding little bits each day, there. If you go there, you'll notice I revamped the whole thing. And though it isn't all of the way done yet, there is a lot to see there right now. But for those who are interested in how I do my digital stuff, go to the section called "technique". And by all means-- drop me a line, let me know what you think... I am going over the comments on the previous vids where I asked for input on tutorials, and will be answering a lot of that in the section on my site. Hope you'll check it out.. + Informações |

Cassowary Dissection 46.87 min. | 4.8 avaliação | 620 exibições Please Subscribe To The Evolution Documentary YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com Briadcast (2011) The Bafta-winning series returns to Australia on the trail of a bird that's been described as a living dinosaur. The cassowary hides in Queensland's tropical rainforests. It's a gigantic bird with a fearsome reputation. It can be taller and heavier than a full-grown man and is armed with five-inch talons that have actually killed humans. The cassowary has earned the dubious reputation of being the most dangerous bird in the world, yet unless it feels threatened, it struts quietly around the jungle and, occasionally, coastal areas. With a bright blue head that's adorned with a horn-like crown, and red pendulums of flesh dangling from its neck, this is, by any standards, a bizarre bird. Mark Evans and Joy Reidenberg carry out a dissection on a cassowary that was hit by a car. Unfortunately, such accidents are quite common on roads that cut through their territory. The team investigate the mystery of how it produces its deep resonant mating call, how it evolved to have such stunted wings and such sharp talons, and the extraordinary breathing apparatus of this giant bird. The award winning series that gets under the skin of the largest animals on the planet. Inside Nature's Giants dissects these animals to uncover their evolutionary secrets. Most wildlife documentaries tell you how an animal behaves, but by dissecting an animal and studying its anatomy we can see how animals really .... + Informações |

Sperm Whale Dissection 71.85 min. | 4.8095236 avaliação | 738 exibições Please Subscribe To The Evolution Documentary YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com Broadcast (2011) The BAFTA winning team battle through the night against a rising tide to explore the mysteries of the largest predator on Earth: the sperm whale. Veterinary scientist Mark Evans and comparative anatomist Joy Reidenberg remove and examine one of its vestigial upper teeth and dissect the whale's enormous organs to reveal the secrets of this 45 foot deep sea giant, which stranded and died on Pegwell Bay in Kent. Despite their enormous size, we know very little about sperm whales because their lives are normally hidden deep beneath the waves. The programme reveals how they can survive diving down thousands of metres for over an hour on one gulp of air in conditions that would freeze our blood and crush our bones. As the team go inside the whale, biologist Simon Watt tracks whales in the Azores with a modern day Jonah, Malcolm Clarke, who gives him a sniff of his prized whale rectum samples and shows him the huge number of squid beaks in a whale's stomach. Meanwhile, joined by diggers, trucks and a reluctant local tree surgeon, the team on the beach discover how sperm whales use the largest nose in the animal kingdom to hunt giant squid in the dark. Aortic Dissection: An Issue to be heard. 10.68 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 2508 exibições "Aortic dissection is a tear in the wall of the aorta that causes blood to flow between the layers of the wall of the aorta and force the layers apart. Aortic dissection is a medical emergency and can quickly lead to death, even with optimal treatment. If the dissection tears the aorta completely open (through all three layers) massive and rapid blood loss occurs. Aortic dissections resulting in rupture have an 80% mortality rate, and 50% of patients die before they even reach the hospital." My father died on 3/30/08, at 9:43 AM. RIP Daddy.. + Informações |

Squid for the Squeamish 1.37 min. | 4.5555553 avaliação | 9947 exibições ANCHOR: Australian Scientists are trying to learn deep-sea secrets from a captured giant squid. They dissected the giant squid in front of a live audience at Australia's Museum of Victoria. Lets take a seat in the audience. STORY: Some of the squid's tentacles are almost 50 feet long. It was caught in fishing nets off the coast of Victoria last month [Rangi Pene, Local Fisherman]: "They pulled it to the side of the boat out of the way and put bags of ice on it and covered it with hessian bags, hessian sacks, because it was too big to put into our ice room." The Victoria Museum's squid expert briefed the audience on the creatures height and weight. [Mark Norman, Squid Expert]: "We've actually lifted it and found that it was 248 kilogrammes so that it's a known weight specimen." Norman said the dissection can teach scientists a great deal about the animal's way of life. [Mark Norman, Squid Expert]: "The tissue samples are critical, we'll get more on diet from the digestive gland, we'll analyze the curves in the beak growth to see if we can try and get some more accurate age estimates." He added animals like giant squids experience fluctuations in food resources. [Mark Norman, Squid Expert]: "Even the deep sea has seasons of plenty and seasons of drought in that they rely on food coming from the surface." The squid is among the largest ever caught and will be put back together for display at the museum.. + Informações |

Man VS Junk - Episode 2 Acer Netbook Dissection - Resetting the BIOS - Acer Aspire One Nightmare 108.35 min. | 4.142857 avaliação | 7945 exibições Well this is a real peace of Crap Chinese Netbook made of: 1. Compressed Cardboard 2. Aluminum 3. Plastic 4. Led 5. and other miscellaneous substances only because they are completely necessary for it to function. Could not boot it and could not install an OS because the OS Windows XP was hozed and the BIOS had a protective password. So I took it apart, removed the batter with a soldering iron, waited 24 hours, soldered it back together, put it back together, put JULinux8 on it. It worked fine. After rebooting the netbook it make really bad BIOS error noises. Tried to install XP. Same result. Solution would be to redo the BIOS but that can't be done because Windows XP can't be installed. Second solution is to (for some reason this works) plug in and unplug a USB device when starting the computer each time (first plug in and start, then unplug and start the next time) and for some reason the hardware detection lets the BIOS work. (this took 4 days, a lot of prayer, and a lot of video was cut out). + Informações |

Cockroach dissection - Reproductive system 1.37 min. | 4.7647057 avaliação | 9742 exibições This video shows a cockroach's dissected reproductive organs. You can tell female and male cockroaches from one another by the differences in their abdominal tips. Females and males both have a pair of cerci, male cockroaches also have a pair of styli. Cerci and styli are sense organs. The female cockroach's internal reproductive organs consist of a pair of ovaries in which its eggs are formed, and a duct that leads from the ovaries to the outside of the insect. Next to the duct is a pouch in which the male's sperms are stored. The sperms fertilize the eggs. A gland that encloses fertilized eggs in a leathery case is also part of the reproductive organs. This egg case is called an ootheca. It protects the developing fertilized eggs. The ootheca can be seen protruding from a female's rear end before it is deposited on the ground outside the female's body. The male cockroach's internal reproductive organs include a pair of testes. Sperm is produced in each testis. Ducts lead from the testes out of the male cockroach's body to deliver sperm to the female cockroach. There are a number of glands along the duct that secrete substances that help sperm fertilize the eggs.. + Informações |
