Ive taken a lecture from Alan Watts, 20th century Philosopher and Theologian, and tried to turn it into a kind of musical meditation. As a student of philosophy and theology, Ive found cyclical time to be one of the harder concepts to grasp. Intellectually I find it makes more sense than our linear years; which are out of place in our cyclical days, weeks, months and seasons. In practice, however, it is very hard to think cyclically in our modern world. This meditation immediately takes on a dark tone as the struggle against 1700 years of cultural entrenchment gives rise to disphoric moods.
