Dig Richards returned to Australia in 1971 and signed with RCA Records. He adopted his full christian name of Digby and recorded a highly acclaimed album called Harlequin. In 1973 he recorded an album for RCA in Los Angeles. It was simply titled Digby Richards and was released in February, 1974 along with the second single from it 'New York City'. This is a song Terry Bradford and I wrote in late 1979 and was one of our first songs together. This performance is from a show called "Your A Star" filmed in Sydney in 1982 with a great house band with a big brass section that sounded fantastic, but we failed to win. The judges were Tommy Tycho, Digby Richards and someone named Pru who was nasty to us and infact made a career out of being nasty to people. Digby and Tommy were very nice to us though and sadly Dig died about 6 months after this song. This was the only song that Dave Ball sang lead on that we did.. + Informações
