Sorry for the long video, there's just so much to talk about. Loss are a 4 piece Funeral Doom outfit from Tennessee of all places. Their style is very influenced by the music of the Peaceville Trio in that it is very melancholy, and romantic sounding. Don't expect an abusively heavy, distorted torture fest because these guys are more the flowers at the grave site than they are the worms eating the corpse. Songs are generally all about committing suicide (a notion that would make some label them as a Depressive/Suicidal doom outfit), and their weapon of choice is the razor. This is a very strong release out on who else but Profound Lore, and despite my 7/10 rating, I'm sure I'll be spinning this album over and over. There's just a few things they need to work on: Fleshing out ideas better, work on their song writing to find stronger riffs, and no more fade outs!
