Layla - Derek and the Dominos 7.02 min. | 4.949393 avaliação | 1385482 exibições Released in 1970, Layla is one of the most known and loved rock songs of all time. Originally a ballad composed by Clapton about his unrequited love for Pattie Boyd, wife of his friend George Harrison, with an added piano coda by Jim Gordon, Duane Allman signed on to the project, turning the ballad into the riff-driven rocker that it is today. It was released on the album "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs," Derek and the Dominos' sole album, although an unplugged version performed by just Clapton was released on "Unplugged" twenty years later. Thank you for 1000000 views everybody!. + Informações |

Layla studio outtake 1970 Derek and the Dominos - Eric Clapton Duane Allman 7.47 min. | 4.8904595 avaliação | 143214 exibições Layla studio outtake 1970 Derek and the Dominos - Eric Clapton Duane Allman. In 1985 when talking about the band Clapton remarked: We were a make-believe band. We were all hiding inside it. Derek and the Dominos ? the whole thing ... assumed. So it couldn't last. I had to come out and admit that I was being me. I mean, being Derek was a cover for the fact that I was trying to steal someone else's wife. That was one of the reasons for doing it, so that I could write the song, and even use another name for Pattie. So Derek and Layla ? it wasn't real at all.. + Informações |

Layla Derek And The Dominoes Piano (C#) slow tutorial 4.62 min. | 4.942446 avaliação | 56752 exibições Soundtrack from "Goodfellas". Slow playing for tutorial. About the issue C major or C# key, this is what Wikipedia reports: The second movement, Jim Gordon's contribution, is commonly referred to as the "piano coda."[14] Originally played in C major, the tape speed of the coda was increased during mixing. The resulting pitch is somewhere between C and C sharp. The piano interlude at the end of the song is augmented by an acoustic guitar, and is also the accompaniment to the outro-solo. The same melody is played on Allman's slide guitar, albeit one octave higher. Gordon does not improvise or deviate from the piano part; Clapton and Allman are the ones who improvise the melody. The song ends with Allman playing his signature high-pitched "bird call" on his slide guitar.[9]. en.wikipedia.org. + Informações |

Santana, Neal Schon, Eric Clapton & Derek and The Dominos rare recording 1 9.80 min. | 4.9183674 avaliação | 24756 exibições Santana Band (w/Neal Schon) and Eric Clapton's Derek & The Dominos Village Recorder Studios San Francisco CA October 18, 1970 Derek and The Dominos always sounded better with two guitarists. At their first public concert they had Dave Mason in the band. He also played with them on their first studio session along George Harrison for their debut single. Later for their classic 'Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs' The band was joined by Duane Allman. It gave the band a much fuller and richer sound. The problem was reproducing those sounds on stage. Duane was able to join Eric on stage at one or two shows, as did Delaney Bramlett. But Eric was looking for a permenent foil to join the band. By the time the Dominoes arrived in Berkeley in October 1970, Eric had heard about a young teenage kid called Neil Schon, who was creating quite a stir on the local scene. He was recording with Santana at the Village Recorder in San Francisco and Eric and some of the Dominos went down to check him out. Before long the Santana band and Eric and co were jamming away. What you'll hear here is the result of that informal meeting. Eric was certainly implressed and invited young Neil to play with him and the Dominoes at their Berkley shows. The shows were so good that Eric asked him to join the band. He declined and went on to be a key memeber in Santana and later formed Journey. He remains one of the worlds most inventive guitarists. + Informações |
