Holding Yesterday For Ransom 1st Track - www.youtube.com ******** Please Read The Description Below!!! ******** This is a very rare, live recording of the late Dead Blue Sky. It is actually them playing in a studio for a few of their friends. They added the crowd sound effects in to make it sound like a live show. These recordings were originally intended to be released as a live album for the band but never saw the light of day. The sound is incredible and they performed so well. They pretty much sound like the CD! To be honest, I actually think these sound better in certain aspects than the actual CD release. You can hear certain elements of the songs more clearly. The keyboards in many parts stand out so much more than the CD and it really comes together beautifully. I attained these by talking to one of the guitarists on AIM. I picked his brain for a while and had a friendly conversation with him about music in general, what he was doing now, and Dead Blue Sky. He ended up sending me two 12 minute tracks containing the live recordings. Each track had multiple songs as they played them all in a row in 1 take and they were never split into multiple tracks. In the PhilZone again here - Warren cant deal with having a day off, so he joined Furthur for the second set of their show on Sunday night at the Best Buy Theater. Good for us. They opened the set with Blue Sky, the longtime favorite penned by Dickey Betts, which the Allman Brothers do not play. This is Dickeys tune you know it. Noone sings that one like Dickey either. The Allmans will jam on the melody for a couple of minutes, but thats about it. So this was very nice. Warren was laid back tonight as compared to his playing with the Allmans, where he plays with his nuts hangin out. It was good though, and he was quite the complimentary player to the rest of the band. Hes the man.. + Informações
