Bride é uma banda dos EUA de Hard/Heavy cristão com fortes influências do Blues. O Bride foi uma das mais importantes bandas do metal cristão dos anos 80. Corretamente chamados de os pioneiros do heavy metal cristão. A banda começou precisamente em 1983, ainda com o nome de Matrix, mas logo após assinar com um dos maiores selos voltado para o metal cristão da época, muda o nome para Bride. O start mesmo, veio com o nome Bride, em 1986, onde a banda já contava com uma estrutura musical estável, e com experiência suficiente, para embarcar na cena, que já contava com muitas bandas popularmente chamadas de white metal. Bom a banda Bride passou por transformações musicais, começou com Heavy, depois um Hard.E em vários albuns a banda saiu totalmente desse estilo. A perseguição dos velhos fãs, que reclamava da direção musical da banda, que foi sempre justificada pelo o vocalista Dale Thompson, parece ter mexido com o núcleo da banda. Eles anunciaram que o seu novo álbum "This is it" estava bastante pesado, e que tinha um toque do último álbum, Snakes In the Playground de 1992, que é considerado um dos melhores álbuns da banda. É desse álbum que tem duas músicas que sempre esteve nos setlist da banda, "I Miss the rain" e "Goodbye".
